The fellow who runs this shop is incredibly helpful. He replaced all the zippers on my favourite hiking backpack and sewed on a few custom pouches. I'm very happy with the quality and will certainly get another ten years out of the bag. Come here and breathe life into your belongings instead of being wasteful and tossing them away.

I took in a pair of shoes to be repaired by the store. When I received the shoes back, I took two steps in them before the heel broke again. My dad took the shoes into the store again and asked them to please fix them properly. To which the owner replied that the shoes were broken by me after being repaired and therefore it's not their problem. My dad then returned to the store to ask for a refund, to which they were again argumentative. When I phoned the store to ask that they refund me or repair the shoes, both the owner and his wife put the phone down on me. I was not shouting, swearing or being rude - I simply asked them to comply with the consumer protection act. As the other review states, it is a small amount of money - however it's about the principle of the matter and being ethical.
I always receive excellent service from this branch. Suitcases, shoes, handbags - I take the lot to them and they do a careful job in good time with great pride in their work! Highly recommended!
Really great service. Had a pair of gloves and a golf bag zip repaired, that I was told, was unrepairable for a really fair price. I can only recommend Barksole to you :
