Cullinan Diamonds

Cullinan town is steeped in history and worth a visit for those interested in history.I believe surface tours are still run, including a visit to the Mine. Unfortunately, UG tours have been stopped due to safety issues. Cullinan Hotel is a great place to stay. Steak is really good. I noticed they had specials on mixed drinks and beer, although I no longer partake.

Beautiful little place in Cullinan, restaurant called Oppiestasie, get your food in a shovel, the food itself isn't too bad, their coffee Milkshakes are great! They have a little "Craft market" type thing where you'll find the cutest most random little treasures. A definite must!

It's a home to everyone who arrives and wonderful relaxing areas with family‍‍‍‍‍‍‍, nature still lives in cullinan the blossoms of Jacaranda trees add the beauty, what amazing on the food side is that it's Amazing

The experience was average. We expected to see a live demo of the mining process, the cutting and polishing or the extraction of the diamond from the kimberlite, but alas all we saw was a video explaining the process. Frankly it was a waste of money going on the tour because I could have seen the same thing on a You Tube video.

Always a great experience. Unfortunately shops and restaurants are closed from Monday to Thursday. Apart from 2 to 3 restaurants. Due to no tourist.

Book a tour to know more about the history behind this mine and more about the stone. Exit by the shop to see the different finished products that you could dream of. Do not forget to bring your credit card along. You won't regret it!

I was very pleasantly surprised finding the ladies at the shop knowing her subject expertly and having a lot of patience with me ... then I bought it! I’m the owner of a “Cullinan star-cut” diamond ‍ Thank you ladies .. and sorry I cried, also thanks for the man behind the glass window making it bigger ! Will definitely come back

Very interesting underground tour! The mine is still active and you can see how the kimberlite is excavated 763m under the surface. Highly interesting.
