I have been hunting for a good bunny chow in Gauteng. I think I found it. Was a bit of a drive for me but it was well worth the fuel. I walked out of there with a contented smile on my face. Thank you for satisfying the craving. Will be back for sure :Food: 5/5
Firstly apologies for the not so great pictures, but after being stuck in traffic for more than 2 hours thanks to the rain and traffic I just wanted to heat my food and eat since it got cold and I was starving. On my way, I had called and placed my order. I was told they didn't have Lamb curry but were busy making a fresh batch. I was more than willing to wait that extra time for fresh curry. So we ordered 2 Lamb and 1 Chicken Curry and Roti, and one portion of Soji. The food was done on time, and I managed to make my way out of the storm. Can honestly agree this is definitely proper Durban styled curry. I can only imagine the taste when eating it when served fresh or in a Bunny. Loved the flavour of the curry, the gravy and the potatoes. The soji wasn't bad either. A little bit mushy but it still tasted nice. Will definitely buy again from Dali Restaurant next time I am in the area. I am usually a supporter of another spot nearby but have been dissapointed with my purchases the last few times. We visited for lunch and had the mutton bunnies. They definitely do not disappoint. Curry was plenty and delicious.Food: 5/5
In Johannesburg for a few days on business and looking for bunny chow. My customer recommended Dali, and it was a good recommendation! Mutton bunny chow was flavoursome and spicy, with plenty of meat, a perfect lunch, would recommend.
The best bunny I've eaten in Jhb. Great flavour. Packed with lamb and soft potatoes. Accompanied by a fresh carrot salad with the right amount of heat, salt and vinegar. Will definitely be back.
Lovely restaurant, the food is always nice here. Owner always welcoming, sometimes the food doesn't taste the same but it's still nice. The mutton bunny is definitely the star in this restaurant!!Food: 4/5
Consistently the Best Durban curries in Johannesburg. Deva is also very pleasant and accommodating. I only eat Indian food here cos of the flavour and portion sizes
Visiting Jhb from Dbn and after 3 days we were craving a decent Durban style sugar beans curry. A friend recommended Dali and we were not disappointed ! Deva is a very friendly and welcoming person . Well done to Deva and team !!! We will be back.....

Hi All. Deva hats out to u my brother. This is the first time in my 22 years in JOZZIE, I got the right bunny just like Durbs, if not, better. The lamb bunny was absolutely tender as I asked. I never saw better tasting meat piece anywhere in jozzie. Brother i praise u and pray that u keep this up.. u r are a dynamic cook that sets the kitchen on fire...your son whom I presume he was, gave me some vinegar chillies and he went that extra mile to offer me the smaller dynamite chillies....that made me laugh and I told him... that's me for today i wont manage with the small red chillies .today 27 th sep 2022 I patronized the restaurant and I wish them many many more years of service to the public...
