De Hoek Country Lodge Heidelberg

We attended a wedding at De Hoek Country Lodge, it was a very pleasant experience! There is a 3km about dirt road leading to the venue, no problems driving it with a normal car. Even after some heavy afternoon rain the road was still good on our way back. On top of a hill there is a 'Boskapel' where our ceremony took place with beautiful 360 degree views all round. The road to the top is a two track road but accessible with a car. The reception area was beautifully decorated with fairy lights, there was also enough space left to dance in the hall. Catering was excellent, from snacks to main course. Can definitely recommend De Hoek

A very interesting wedding venue. Rustic buildings with many areas and old farm implements which lend themselves perfectly for some interesting wedding photos. Catering done on site. Food was very good. A worthwhile venue to consider for such functions. Accommodation is available at the venue.

If you're looking for a remote, quiet, place to stay with a large or small group of people at an affordable price then this is the place to stay. Basic amenities but very clean premises and friendly staff. We couldn't really close our door but it was nice that we didn't have to and felt safe.

The owner and host is very friendly, and goes an extra mile in making your stay a lovely time. Very beautiful property, good for hiking, bird watching and running ‍.

Very nice venue for a wedding or function. Went there for a trance party which was cool but not a nice venue for camping as they don't have shower facilities. Only got toilets and basins. Very dusty due to the sand road and absolutely freezing in winter. Awesome view of heidelberg.

We had an amazing weekend, the accomodation is very cozy, the views are beautiful the food so so good.... KAREN thank you so much we really enjoyed. Such a relaxing atmosphere perfect accomodation for Varkfees...

Very neat & clean and the most friendly hostess in the world. She truly goes the extra mile with special treats and accommodating everyone's needs

Got married there in February 2017. Karen is great and a real help. Food is out of this world and one can party as late as you want.
