Heidelberg Lodge

1- Gate doesn’t work - with no driveway on a super busy main road - makes it impossible to exit the premises without leaving your car in the road and then having to get out and close the gate again, kind of a mess and super risky especially with children…this is the 3rd day of it not working. Entering the premises is even worse as you need to dodge a massive hole right next to the gate. 2- Locked out when we got here tonight as the side door was locked from the inside and the key given to us doesn’t work at the front door - how this is possible I have no idea. 3- The stoep light is so bright that you can practically read a book with the light off, curtains closed, under a blanket with your sunglasses on. It’s like a flood light. I thought the sun was up at 02:15 this morning. After switching the light off multiple times! 4- The person we dealt with doesn’t answer her phone or call back at all, so would’ve been great to have some assistance but that’s not happening.

This was really not worth the money. R800 FOR WHAT? The WiFi did not work. The floors were dirty. Room extremely tiny. And they dont even have a generator. This was very disappointing. Bugs in the kettle as if it was not used in months. Shower did not work properly. I have to update my reviews. This plaxe is onfested with kokkerotte. Im fuming a

Hell no !!!! Drunk people making a noise all night long, we hardly had any sleep, management did nothing to get things under control. Paint peeling off the bathroom walls, bed was too small and hard, curtains too thin. Photos online are a little dated. Nearby activities: Drunk people talking at the top of their voice at 3 to to 4 am coming and going, headlights shine through the thin curtains, as the cars come and go till the early hours of the morning. Never again, not even if you paid me.

Heidelberg Lodge went completely out of their way to accommodate us with a changing schedule. Thank you, Charmaine, for going the extra mile and Thandi for the smiles even at the late hour.Rooms: 5/5

We checked in on 24th September. The lodge is closer to the mall which makes it convenient. It is self catering although I felt like the was no space on the cutlery stand to prepare anything so if you are planning to come with family, either come with a small portable foldable table, paper towels or washing rag. On the other hand the staff is beyond friendly and so is the care taker. Also the bathroom basin is way too small!

It was so peaceful living there. The host was very helpful and the care giver was very helpful too. The mall and other take away stores are a walking distance away and the room itself is absolutely beautiful. Thanks Marna and Power for your exquisite hospitality. Highly recommend. Myself and partner appreciate it.

Disruptive Caretaker!! We were woken up before 7am by the caretaker having a loud conversation with his girlfriend and a friend. They were in the room next door and the friend was in the corridor with the door half open. His voice echoed through the entire place and woke everyone up. When I went to ask them to keep it down, there was no apology, they simply closed the door and kept going with the laughing and loud conversations. It went on for an hour! So rude and don’t care about the guests. Won’t ever come back here …also the door handle isn’t secured and the bathroom light doesn’t work. The price changed from what the lady said on the phone to what the caretaker charged us ok arrival. Not worth the money.

Very perfect and clean place to be, with highest level of welcoming clients and you feel at home ,Rooms: 5/5
