We had a wonderful surprise. From friendly security being helpful and polite to an efficient system. I do suggest booking sn appointment and sorting all your paperwork online as this made everything much easier and more efficient. We were complete for 3 Passports1 adult, 2 minors in 1hr. The gentleman handling the photos was very impressive running between stations to process people faster as apposed to just sitting and waiting for the system to bring up the next person.
I'm very happy with the booking system. You book online, choose your date and time. No need to stand in the queue. I was in an out in 35min to do my smart ID and passport. Exactly a week later I got an sms saying my documents are ready for collection. I am very impressed with the service. The only person that needs to change his attitude in the department is the guy that takes your finger prints and photo. He needs to learn people's skills.
Very poor service, standing in a line to make R20 payment for over an hour and still standing. People get served in front of us ordinary citizens, they just walk in and greet officials by their names friendly. This is ridiculous if Home Affairs Pmb want to serve their friends only don't classify as public services.
Feels like I've died and gone to hell. Unbelievably inefficient. If I could give this negative stars I would give 10 to the power of -6. !!! Did an online application and have been here all day and stood in the same queues as everyone else. What a big waste of time. This is why SA is circling the bowl. Tried to call Mr. MAPHUMULO several with no answer. No surprises there....Absconded from his responsibilities.....
While there is clearly a problem with the system we have to take our hats off to the staff working in these terrible conditions. I have been to the office twice in a week and found all the staff to be incredibly helpful and courteous. Thank you
Great service, especially if you have booked. But I find it embarrassing that the card payment system was not operational.
Waist of time whether you book appointment or not they just don't want to work. More then a hour waiting just to print lousy certificate... why do we even have this department
We are here at home affairs, it’s now 8:48 and they haven’t opened yet. No one is here to give us any explanation. They are very unprofessional, now we have to guess if they really going to open or not yet they wrote that they are open on their website
This rating is for home affairs in New Hannover not pmb It's verry organise and we'll managed Pmb home affairs have pong queues everyday I wouldn't recommend anyone who has an option to go somewhere else's to go there..I feel sorry for the elderly ..its heart breaking
got here at 730am waited in queue only to be taken in at 1215pm..assisted my mum and who is 70yra old.. this rude lady kept telling me to wait outside while I was explaining to my mum about docs... Surely consideration needs to be given for the elderly.
