Dr Avenant was pleasant and patient. He explained everything thoroughly to me and I am extremely grateful to him for all his advice and assistance. I believe after over ten years of suffering in agony, I have finally found the specialist that can actually help me. We have just completed the pre procedure required before a rhizotomy and I must say that he is a specialist I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you Doc for all you have done. Had 2 Rhizotomy procedures with Dr Avenant - he is a fantastic doctor and has a great bedside manner. Both worked well and I'm about to have a third one with him before I go overseas. Highly recommended!
Dr Avenant did a rhizotomy and facet blocks on me, and I no longer have pain in my spine amd arms. He is an amazing and knowledgeable doctor with a wonderful bedside manner too.
Been to Dr Corrie Avenant, Rhizotomy and Faced done, 2 days later and i feel much better. He explained everthing in detail....yes he is strict and to the point. Must say The Best Dr i have seen for neck pain. And there is a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. The service at the daycare clinic is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpfull. No visitors allowed due to Covid, safety first. Thank you Dr Corrie Avenant and team - Excellent Service.
I was very disappointed with my first visit. He didn't examine me properly or give me a chance to tell him about my pain he kept interrupting me and then missed vital information. He also does not seem up to date with current pain medicine. Some of the pain medication I have been prescribed by my Endocrinologist and Rheumatologist He was unfamiliar with and in fact straight out told me it's not for pain. He sent me away without any further help or advice. Not what I expected from a chronic pain specialist.
Unfortunately our experience with this practice was not very positive. My mum received rhizotomy treatment at this practice to help treat incapacitating back pain. However, no in-depth investigations into the root cause of the pain was done, and pain simply treated without a full medical picture of my mum’s condition. As a result vital information was missed, pain returned and my mum lost almost all of her mobility and independence in less than a month after the procedure and had to undergo an emergency back operation. Communication and explanation of procedures, aftercare and longterm expectations was also very limited. Based on our experience, treating the pain is only a short-term solution to the problem if you don’t investigate the underlying cause, so I will be reluctant to recommend this practice.
Pain management procedure did not work for me. Worst is they do not even do a follow up. Just send you a high bill. Sad, having to pay this bill and the procedure didnt even work
