I called the office to see Dr Sarfo. And the receptionist told me he wasn't going to help me give birth because it's my 1st baby. She then stressed that he doesn't assist with natural birth for 1st time mothers, she then refered me to Dr nthabiseng Borotho. When I got there the receptionist was so rude, putting my business in the streets telling me that my medical aid has exhausted its funds. So therefore I needed to pay cash upfront. She asked me to call my medical aid so that I can get authorization for them to assist me with the delivery of my baby, I explained to her that I am only there for a consultation therefore I don't need authorization she still wanted me to get authorization from my medical aid, I had to call the medical aid so that they can explain to her that the hospital can only get authorization on the day of me giving birth. She found another reason to turn me away saying that I needed a referral letter from my doctor. I was so frustrated I lost my car keys in the bathroom, I left the doctors room in tears I couldn't even hide it... Meanwhile as I was waiting for my Dad to bring me the spare car keys, the receptionist called to say that I can now come back n see Dr Borotho she will fix the referral letter issue. I only went back there because I had been waiting for so long at the reception and because I had cried so much I wanted to find out if my baby was ohk. I did my research on Dr Borotho after my appointment and decided to change her due to a referral I found at lenmed. Otherwise she's a kind woman. Just that their ethics and values are more monterrey than anything else. I wish I had experienced Dr Sarfo. It's true male gynecologist are tested and proven to be the ultimate best.
