I had a good experience. I had direct access to the Dr anytime via his Whatsapp and he always responded in time.During my opp i was so nervous and he made a kind joke and smile which made me laugh and eased up the nerves. Always was professional and answered all my questions and addressed concerns.
Has to be the worst gynaecologist I’ve ever met. His receptionist is even worse! She called my husband and I ‘problem patients’ simply because we required clarity on a few things before my emergency procedure. Went on to literally throw forms in our faces. We have everything on video. The drs bedside manners are none existent. Not to mention how much he scared me telling me I was going to die. I only started being treated better after complaining to netcare. Find another Gynae!!!
Dr Kriel was my gynae for my first pregnancy about 3 years ago and the experience has stuck with me since. His receptionist is the rudest person I have ever met and his bed side manner leaves a lot to be desired. He was always unfriendly and short. I was also treated like he was doing me a favour the entire pregnancy and my high blood pressure was described as a non issue until a placenta abruption at 27 weeks. I don't recommend this Doctor at all and I wish I had changed my gynae instead of hanging in there out of fear of changing gynaes mid pregnancy.
If you have any concerns about him as your gynae and you're concerned about changing dr's during your pregnancy do it. I nearly lost my life to his incompetence. I had high blood pressure and protein in my urine with extreme swelling with NO treatment or concern from Dr Kriel. I landed up having 3 grand mal seizures and landed up in a neuro ward for a week and this was after telephoning him complaining of a severe headache which was just dismissed. Utterly incompetent!
Dr Kriel was supportive and attentive during the whole 9 months of my pregnancy , He was just such a great OBGYN to have and made me so comfortable , He birthed my first child and made the expierance one to remember , I highly recommend him
Not happy with Dr Kriel thus far. Was supposed to have received my Lab results a week after consultation. It’s been over a month now and I’m the only one doing a follow up. No communication about the delay whatsoever. The receptionist is rude and not helpful at all. I’m having complications with the medication and wasn’t warned about this possibility. Need to find another gynae.
We will never forget Dr Kriel. Our litte Mieke is 13 months old and he was very supportive and thorough throughout the process.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr kriel from our very first consultation. He delivered me a healthy baby boy and is so thorough with his consults. The delivery was my first experience in hospital and what an amazing job he did. Thank you for the work you do. A big thank you to Dr Kriel, who delivered our baby boy on Monday the 11thbof July. His calm nature and understanding made all the difference. Was not happy with my last visit to Dr Kriel and will definately be looking for another gynae. When my pap smear results came out, all i received 7 days later was a script no mention of what i had been diagnosed with or even a phone call. The receptionists give his practice a bad name. They are rude and unhelpful and have no email etiquette. The atmosphere in the waiting room is cold. Receptionists are not friendly at all.
