Dr Louw

After 30 years of pain and seeing one Docter after each other I was finally referred to Dr Koos Louw. I started loosing all the feeling in my legs. I kept on falling and feared paralysis. Every other Dr that I went to always told me my Back is the problem? After proper diagnosis the problem was from the neck and not the back. Dr Louw performed a 4 vertebrae fushion. The pain was managable and after 2 weeks I was pain-free. I must admit that The Body/Neck brace is not the most comfortable brace and the 3 months awaited me. It was hard but it was a Small Price to pay for a painless future. My brace came off today and I would like to thank Dr Louw and all his colleagues for the best professional care anyone can pray for. Dr Louw fixed both my neck and spine after another doctor twice only made matters worse. His office staff are excellent. He is prepared to listen, and his examination is very thorough. I gladly recommend him, he knows what he is doing, and he does it to perfection. Today, 16 November 2022, and l am yet to have the slightest bit of discomfort in either my neck or spine. I thought l will never be without pain, well, after 3+ years l am still without pain, am moving as well as anything 20 years ago! This is a new life, a second chance.

I had to have a scoliosis operation when I was 14. My spine was at a 46 degree curve. I had Harrington rods put in and Dr Louw achieved the most amazing result! Every time I show my xrays to a different radiologist, they are amazed, impressed and in awe of what an amazing operation Dr Louw did. And now at age 28, my spine is still perfectly straight.

Dr Louw is the best of the best orthopedic surgeons in south africa, did my neck 9 years ago, and now my back and both went super well, they do not call him the Dr with the golden scalpel for nothing, precision at its best. Will recommend him any day.

Dr is excellent but had to wait for about 5 hours for emergency appointment in the most devastating pain. Was today diagnosed with Fibromalgia. Was in devastating pain but dr was caring and extremely intelligent and empathetic and suggested that my GP send me to a Neurologist for further tests as severe sore back was caused by another illness. Great dr, he operated my son and he has no more pain. Very caring any hour of the day. Could do op on my son that other back specialist admitted he was unableto perform.

I flew from Cape Town to specially see Dr Louw. He is the most charming and pleasant Surgeon I have ever met. On the medical side he is a HIGHLY knowledgeable, brilliant and experienced Surgeon. He is incredibly thorough too.

Had an L5-S3 fusion done at age 39. 1 year later my back is stronger than ever and the pain is completely gone. Thank you Dr. Louw, you are certainly the best at what you do.
