Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Such a quaint, cosy little tree house with all the necessary amenities. Was absolutely lovely. The gracious hostess Claire had the room set out beautifully and was great with communications and super helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Driftwood Studio Tree House

Kath & I stayed in Claire's family room that is attached to her home. Everything was super clean & the bed was extra comfortable. She was friendly enough to make us breakfast every morning. Claire even went the extra mile to jump start our car due to a faulty battery. Thank you Claire, lovely to meet you! A&K Rooms: 5/5

This place is so heavenly. My partner and I went here for our anniversary. It was amazing. I love the outside shower and the split of the room and the kitchen area. The room was set up simply but attention to detail was spot on for example the origami towels and the beautiful art work on the walls. Definitely worth visiting again and I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay. Loved the grounds and art on display. Chickens, cat and Bubbles the dog made it even more enjoyable. Friendly welcome and also a friendly see you soon. Was a bit let down on expectations of the romantic welcome "basket". But would reccomend to anybody wanting to get away for a quiet day or 2. Thank you for having us.

So Great. The accommodation is beautifully setup, cleverly tied in with the beautiful natural surroundings. A skip from the ocean. The creative and artist activities happening at driftwood, SO INSPIRATIONAL. What's also so amazing is to be so secluded from public but if the need rises, one is only 10min out of main East London. we had a super fantastic time in East London and an amazing stay at Driftwood studios. Would do all again anytime. Thank you so much Claire, we had a blast of a time.

The Driftwoods Studios is a wonderful place to stay and explore the region. We enjoyed staying in the treehouse which is very private and cosy. Using the outdoor shower was a fun experience. Highlight of our stay was our guided tour to the beach with Angus, who introduced us to the wonders of the local sea life. Thanks again and hope to see you some day in Germany.

Had the most peaceful serene weekend staying in the treehouse. Claire is a wonderful caring host and I just loved our talks. If you you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and you need to fill up on soul food and feed your spirit, this is where you need to go. Namaste xx

Driftwood Studios is absolutely fantastic. My brother and I stayed in the treehouse on the front and tail end of our sardine run trip up the wild coast. The treehouse is just stunning and is so peaceful. It is beautifully made and has a lovely patio where you can enjoy the trees, the sound of the ocean and the curious monkeys. We braai’ed out back each evening and the kitchen was just perfect for cooking our own meals. The outdoor shower is lovely as well. Buttons owner Claire’s dog was such a wonderful beach companion and we loved spending our time with him and the sweet cat, Rusky. The beach is a quick 5-minute walk away and you can walk up the river to see some stunning cliffs and homes. Highly recommend booking a massage and Journey Through Dance with Cher, Claire’s neighbor and friend who is also wonderful. The zen garden and artist studio are also worth a walk-through and display some stunning pieces created by Claire’s husband who was an extremely talented sculptor and woodworker. We can’t say enough good things about Driftwood! We will certainly be back.
