Dros Resturant

Today we had a biker run after church to Dros for brunch, we were approximately 75 people, and despite the large group and loadshedding challenges, I cannot have been more pleased. I had the 300g Dros steak, which was done perfectly and one of the best steaks I've enjoyed in quite a while. I also had the cheese cake for dessert and it was heavenly. I just want to extend my thanks to the Dros team for their awesome hospitality and service, you guys rock.

Love there weekly specials. Real value for money and great service. Owners are also working in the restaurant. Been a real icon in Alberton since opening up at this premises. Specials daily and I can recommend Monday Chicken schnitzel and the Calamari on Thursdays. Daily pizza for takeaway. They arrange entertainment on some days at extra charge but totally worth it. Food is freshly prepared and do take a bit longer but worth it. A verity of wines available from the menu. Lots of parking and guards on duty after dark. They no langer have Sushi but the rest of the food is great I can really recommend Dros Alberton for any occasion as there are big tables and different seating places. The venue is decent & a good place to watch live sport with a well seating plan with good service. Snails & mozzarella cheese, the pepper and mushroom steak, cheesy garlic bread are excellent.Food: 4/5

We have been there for a few times a few times and we enjoyed it. This time it was a disaster and disappointment this time around. Management pathetic food was coldFood: 1/5

Lovely people, very well kept. Food is delicious, they are not shy either. Only reason giving 4 stars for atmosphere, because it felt a bit dark in the area we sat, which made the atmosphere a bit gloomy. Other than that it was lovely, staff is friendly and helpful, very good! Kid-friendliness: Has a cute play area and arcade type vibe, with child minders, Parking: Easy accessable parking close to entrance, some shady parts. Wheelchair accessibility: Is wheelchair accessable. Dietary restrictions: They are more than willing to change things up to accommodate your restrictions.

Wow - the Dros seriously had better days. Food quality degraded drastically, or items are not in stock, and the bathrooms are disgusting dirty, no toilet paper, the smell of urine in the air, with NO SOAP Health and safety hazards. It used to be such a nice place, but the owners definitely turned their attention to other matters and it’s definitely reflecting the food and quality of Dros.

This is an awesome place to chill. Good vibes and good music. Affordable menu and large portions. Nice variety of meals to choose from. Their pizzas was the best. Friendly service and waiters. Food and drinks prepared without a long wait. Definitely going to be one of my favorite hangout spots.

We were seated outside in winter when there were tables inside. We recieved a different menu with almost no options on it. When we asked for water after our meal we were told we have to buy because of cholera. It just wasnt a nice experience especially from a Dros. The prices on the menu and what we were charged for on the bill were different. It was just a very disappointing experience.

Yesterday was most certainly our last time ever that we would support Dros Alberton. We were a party of 6 adults 1 child. We ordered 2 foccacia's after a long wait it arrived at our table ice cold and rock hard. We were very hungry so we ate the 1 other 1 was sent back. The same 1 was returned to our table burnt and even harder than the previous 1. Called the manager he said he could see it was burnt. The pork chops were as small as pork rashers totally mislead by the menu. We complained about that and were told that the size/weight of the chops were indicated on the menu which wasn't! My hake was so thin you could almost see right through it. It comes with chips and rice, I only received chips that looked so unappetizing so I sent it back requesting rice. The rice was tasty. The chips are fried with the skin, not on! Don't know if it states potato skin fries but that's what we got. Nobody ate their chips. My daughter ordered a mushroom steak asked for medium it arrived very rare sent it back and when it was returned it wasn't any better. Considering that we were also at the Dros with friends on Friday night and spent R1800 for party of 4, looking forward to being entertained by Beeskraal that was really bad entertainment. They were approximately an hour late. Nevertheless onus on them they took more breaks than what they actually sang. The food was actually very good except for a salt pot that wasn't working properly and I ended up with en entire pot of salt on my jacket potato but that was quickly rectified by my potato being replaced. Dros Alberton your ribs are the best but overpriced sadly. The reason why we went there again on Saturday was because of the indoor playground for my grandson. Which had never been upgraded since Dros opened. Such a pity as there aren't any restaurants in the area with this facility. My grandson loved his Margareta pizza it was hot and had loads of cheese. Best meal of the day. There is a very bad sewerage smell in the restaurant which isn't new to Dros. We have been regular supporters of Dros but yesterday was the worst and after spending R3000 yesterday. DROS will never see us again. Martin hopefully you will see this as constructive criticism and try and rectify. I am truly disappointed
