Having been around for almost two decades, Eastwood Tavern has become a ‘must-visit-venue’ when one finds oneself in Pretoria. The ever changing interior ensured that this once small pub with humble beginnings, has developed and transformed into an elaborate urban chic ‘feast for the eyes’ - this is however- not the only feast that one will encounter when visiting Eastwood Tavern. Here you are spoilt for choice with a variety of dishes with a twist. These generously portioned dishes, great drinks specials, combined with the vibrant atmosphere, allows for a truly unique experience that one will remember.
Situated in Pretoria, Eastwood Tavern is easily accessible via the Gautrain, with a bust stop right on the corner of Park and Eastwoods street. Big sporting events are often catered for as one finds Loftus Versfeld in close proximity – also allowing this venue to be a popular stop for both soccer and rugby fans before and after a game at the stadium. With over 20 televisions situated throughout the venue, it is also a popular spot to view broadcasted sports matches with friends.
Driving past the venue is Eastwoods Street is a real temptation, as the aroma of food and the relaxing atmosphere quickly draws you in. Thanks to the mild Pretoria climate which offers an abundance of sunshine both winter and summer, there is even an outside kitchen which hums with activity grilling an assortment of succulent steaks and juicy ribs. There are three bars, as well as an elegant KWV lounge area, and plenty of tables with lots of attentive waiters for fast and friendly service. All in all, Eastwoods can accommodate 280 patrons seated. It is open for breakfast at 08.00 and serves meals throughout the day and well into the night until the kitchen finally closes at 23.00 on weeknights and midnight at the weekends!
Directions to Eastwoods:
From Pretoria CBD on to Church Street (R104) passing Arcadia into Eastwood turning right into Eastwood Street until an intersection or corner the restaurant situated on the corner of 391 Eastwood and Park Street.
From N1 North Highway, take N4 to Pretoria Central - This will become Pretorius street. Turn left into Eastwoods Road. Cross intersection at Schoeman Street, venue will be on your right.
