Edge has bought Workout world PE which has serviced members in the Linton Grange / Westering area for over 20 years. Workout World catered mainly for the male body building market but we will be upgrading and revamping the Gym so that it provides better facilities for woman and is in line with the Edge Fitness brand.

Good news for existing Premier members is that EDGE has taken a decision to make reciprocal training (train at any Edge Gym) a free benefit which we will continue as we expand. (Uitenhague, Despatch, Cape Town all on the cards)
The PE gym is a really good for Jbay members as many of them work in PE, and being just off the N2 (near MAKRO) it’s really convenient to pop in and train to or from work. In addition, people relocating to PE and sadly ending their membership at EDGE to join elsewhere at 3 times the price can now just continue their training at our PE club. Anyone wanting to register for reciprocal training just needs to go onto our FB page and like the Reciprocal button and one of our consultants will contact them to explain what to do. (Currently we have different access control systems in the club but this will be changed over within the next few months)

Absolutely fantastic gym! From the staff being exceptionally friendly, to having gym equipment in top shape, this gym really offers alot. Extremely clean facilities and very strict covid protocols more than enough sanitizers everywhere as well as you get you're own cloth. The gym offered us a week pass due to us being here for vacation only, very affordable pricing included was a free body assessment as well as a personal training session. Lastly their website was very accommodating as it helped us alot and works very well with their club link app. I highly recommend this gym, one of my best experiences thus far.
Do not sign a contract with them. - They lack professionalism - The staff members are rude and unable to communicate properly or to do their jobs. - They don’t respond to e-mails, and always have the same excuse like “ I will get back to you” , “ I will sort it out” but that never happens . They will simply act as if they told you something or you authorised something that also never happened. - They will continue to load new debit orders in the hopes that you don’t realise what they are busy doing even if there are major disputes on contracts or after contracts have expired and you have told them both telephonically and via e-mail that you want nothing to do with them or aren’t interested in signing any new contracts or the renewals thereof. - They also refuse to let you cancel your contract . I will never recommend this place to anyone ever.
Great gym that's clean with modern equipment and friendly staff to assist.
Check out Edge's latest initiative. They are giving away FREE memberships to people who cannot afford it and could really benefit by joining this friendly, family oriented facility. I think this is an awesome gesture.
Definitely the best gym in Jbay, there service and personal trainers are excellent... More than enough equipment, staff is helpful and friendly.. really suggest Edge gym.
Do not sign a contract with them, never approve a debit order.. you will regret it!! So many complaints about them... you will never stop paying them for nothing! Pls go have a look on Jbay online group.. and see for yourself...
I Do Not Recommend this gym. Poor Service. •Hidden Fees, they charge gym maintenance fee from their customers, about R200 per year. •Sales people, will pressure to sign a contract, which is not disclosed fully. There is 40% cancelation fee. They require doctors note or medical certificate to freeze your account, all this through an email system they never respond back. • Linton grange branch has a carpet which stinks sweat , carpet on a gym??? • Handed over accounts. you are charged for communication, calls, email etc. When it’s handed over, opening balance can be up to R700+ on top of your initial balance from the edge fitness. Overpriced and ridiculous.
Spent a week there whilst on holiday. Paid R250 for a week which allowed access to all classes and facilities which is a bargain considering that one generally pays R100/class. Excellent trainers available. Place has everything you need and more. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hygienic standards are maintained beautifully. No run ins with juice heads or arrogant members. And to top it off, you walk straight out the front door and onto the beach. Expectations were exceeded. As a manger of a gym, I would highly recommend Edge Fitness.
