El Gringos Fast Food

We visited Scarborough and stumbled across this place on Friday night. The good was beautiful and good portions. We iked it so much we wanted to spend our last night in Scarborough there for tea too. Sadly they were fully booked. We would definitely pre-book next year.Food: 5/5

We had a lovely evening at El Gringos. The food was really good and there was plenty of it! The drink selection was also really good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back Food: 5/5

Food tasted great and portions were really large also. Cocktails were OK. The only downside to this place was the smoke from the kitchen clouding up the restaurant; my eyes were hurting from this the entire time; I dunno if it was a one time thing as it was my first time visiting but no one apologised about it. Meal service was good too

First of all I decided to take no pictures of the building itself, it's currently undergoing massive renovations and I decided it would be unfair to show it as it is, don't be put off by the work, the food is great. We started with the nachos, it's ment for one but it's huge and will easily feed two as a starter, it was also excellent with properly melted cheese far too many places don't do this. Next up was a chicken and beef chimichanga served with rice and black beans, again this was excellent, I went for the hot variety you get to select the heat it was warming, but not overly hot, although heat is a matter of taste. My partner had the chilli bowl, the bowl itself is a crispy tortilla, this was medium and again was delicious. The place is informal and child friendly, the staff are polite and friendly. The portion sizes are large and incredibly good value for money. Again don't be put off by the current building works you won't be disappointed by the food.

Excellent place to dine. After relocating to a great venue. The staff,food and the premise is spot on. Prices reflect the quality of the food and amount you get. Good choice of drinks. Really great place for tasty food. An absolute credit to Scarborough

A great restaurant with different food to what you find everywhere else in the local area. Really tasty and great prices too. The location was also amazing as you could see the whole of Scarborough the bay and the spa but apparently they are moving very soon.

Staff were lovely & appreciated them making it clear which food has been cooked with meat oil. Place was really cold so had to keep my coat & hat on. Burritos had no rice in it, it was side dish not sure if that’s unusual?. Food wasn’t tasty, wish I took picture of the veggie burger, it had tinned cut pineapple on it makes it look cheap. Vegan & Vegetarian options weren’t made clear.

Really nice restaurant, very good atmosphere and vibe too. The restaurant is quite small so it is best to book a table to avoid disappointment. They have a great range of cocktails and drinks, plus a great menu with lots of options including a kids menu. The food is a little expensive but it is worth it as it tastes amazing and portion sizes are massive. Food came fairly quick and staff were so friendly and helpful. They have lots of things in place for covid 19 too such as staff wearing PPE, screens between tables and hand sanitizer. The only downsides were the chairs where a bit uncomfortable and had a numb bum and the toilets were a bit unhygienic. Over all properly the best restaurant in town, will definitely be going again and would recommend.

This is a hidden gem, do not let the scaffolding outside put you off. The food is fresh, full of flavour an totally amazing!! The staff are so helpful an always smiling!! Cocktails are so good!! Definately a 6

Great food, best Mexican in Scarborough would definitely recommend. It's very popular for take out on Just Eat. Restaurant dos need some TLC but the building looks like it's going through a renovation.
