The service is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only problem I have is not having laundry because when clothes are wet u gonna have to hang them all around the room since we can't also open the doors or windows because of the monkeys. Otherwise everything was great and there is a shuttle to move u around. Well after a few hours of me rating how the hotel is good, I found myself locked outside of the room, waited for hours for for room service to finish cleaning the room until lunch time. It was draining and disappointing.
Amazing place for a family or couple's outting. The resort has everything you need to have a blast during your stay. The hotel, casino and resort are exactly as how the pictures reflect. The food, people and vibe was absolutely great.
Emerald service is the world best ever. But i am starting to think that it has to do with trained stuff that has a certain level of education. But again other entertainments could do well if trading time could be extended. Like the bowling area. We do use it for lovers moments. Just think about it....Rooms: 5/5
The Christmas lunch cost R1050.00 and it was awful, the food was tasteless, the place was full of flies sitting on the food, the green salad looked old and had brown leaves.The morning Buffet left much to be desired as again all fresh fruit and cold items were also full of flies and it looked old. We booked a family room for 7 nights, the bathroom door handle was broken, the cupboard doors were getting stuck on the rails, the bedside lampshades were torn, the 1 bathroom lights were cracked and the tap was leaking. During load shedding the air-cons were not working and the hotel could not even offer guests a portable fan. The zoo has barely any animals , the only good feature were the Hippo’s.
NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ! We are regular guests at this resort for the past 13 years I have booked 4 rooms which were all in the exact same disgusting state 1.On my arrival the aircons leaked in my rooms , hotel sent out maintaince guys to repair the aircon while I am on holiday instead of offering me another room. 2. The 4 rooms had a bad sewage smell coming from the bathrooms.hotel said they will send someone to have a look which didn't happen 3. 1 room had no pillow covers and 1 room had food particles under the bed 4.on the day of check out all 4 rooms had no water Yet we were told that a penalty will be charged for late checkout 5.waited 45min for a shuttle to arrive because the resort only has 1 shuttle operating TO TOP THIS UP MY VEHICLE WAS TEMPERED WITH IN A BOOMED AREA WITH A SECURITY 6 bolts from a brand new vehicle was removed from a security roller bin.hotel security 1st told me that the camera systems are offline ,there after the security company told me that they are online and will have a look at įT, it's been 4 days without feedback
I've never had to wait so long at any place... We arrived before the staff... The slides open and close as the staff sees fit and the staff rudely advised they open at 10 yet all trading times state 9:30. Everyone is just to laxadazy. The lifeguard doesn't even speak they show hand signals and expect people to understand.Service: 1/5
Went to zoo & swimming my kids did enjoy, by that I was happy too. The environment is very good / excellent especially for weekend away beside kids.Service: 4/5
always passing by Emerald, today I stopped to show my daughter what it looks like inside. We just went to the kiddies section and played some games. They use the card system and not tokens. Fair amount of machines on the floor but like other gaming places - the prizes are usually useless She wanted to pop into the sweet shop but surprisingly it was locked. a bit strange for a Saturday. An ok spot to go to, if there's really nothing to do in the vaal
Really a disappointment to even get a booking with emerald resort. As i read through the online website, it sounded like an amazing getaway experience for my family and extended family, and then upon trying to make a booking the phne line doesnt work, eventually taking a drive there as it was a large booking, then getting sent from reception to an email address and then to concierge desk for a card which only grants you a voucher for the current month bookings. Its really not appetizing to even support this resort with all the red tape i have to go through for a booking. Here i wonder what it will be like when if i actually do decide to book and then what service i will receive when i am there. Not the service i expect from an establishment of this size and stature. They need to pull up there socks. Facilities looked dated and tired. Must pay for all additional activities and services, the aquadome pool is only heated on some occasions, restaurants are very few. The parking is adequate cos its empty
I was a day visitor. There are a few activities, such as putt-putt, water park, small park/play area, a few shops and restaurants, besides the casino. The place is beautiful with lush trees and greenery. The atmosphere is serene.
