This page is a visual representation of the art work Anne Raubenheimer and Alan Raubenheimer keep them selves busy with
Anne Raubenheimer works with various shaped wedges of clay which are textured, baked, assembled and coated in a number of different ways - the end results are sometimes non-representational designs and sometimes more picturesque images such as landscapes. The clay is alsoused in conjunction with perspex prints which are cut to various shapes. Canvas prints are also used as a substrate for designs of a more abstract nature.
Alan Raubenheimer works with photographic images collected from the environment, specifically textured surfaces of rocks, water, bark from trees or any suitable organic surface which has potential to be manipulated into a visually pleasing artwork. These images are sometimes layered over each other, sometimes placed next to each other or manipulated in ways which might retain the identity of the original, but the end result is no longer exactly what the camera saw. The resulting artwork remains a digital image despite the fact it is no longer merely a single photograph.
