Settled in the heart of Hartbeespoort, surrounded by pristine mountains, overlooking a beautiful dam on a 150 square meter wooden deck, you are sure to relax and enjoy our amazing atmosphere and great tasting food. We have three seating areas (approx 320 seater) one, a rustic main seating area, two, on a wooden deck and three a cigar and cocktail lounge inside a lapa. We have three bars of which one a main bar, two a cocktail bar in our cigar lounge area and three a juice and milkshake bar. Our menu consists of delicious food such as Eisbeins, pork ribs, gourmet ground beef burgers and beautiful pizzas. Children will have the opportunity to run around under supervision as well as some fishing and ball pits to name a few. We are child friendly to the extreme and family is our priority. The place speaks for itself, so come and blow of some steam.

Worst burger we had in Hartbeespoort. Dry, definitely not a 3 cheese sauce and a very hard putty with oily onion rings and old chips. Come on guys, your food used to be the best in Hartbeespoort!!!Food: 1/5
I'm providing you with feedback after my visit on Saturday as I am quite disappointed. Every three months when I am in harties, I make a point of visiting your establishment because I absolutely love it, but something was wrong this time around. I sent an email with no response. Sent a message via Facebook messenger and yet again no response yet the message was seen. If there was management presence, I would have taken this up with the manager directly on the day. 1. Not sure why the 4 brandy & mix special is no longer available? 2. The waiter has no idea what is going on. I wanted vegetables with my calamari, he said he does not know what the veggies of the day are. I sent him to the kitchen to find out. He came back and said we need to wait an hour because the vegetables are not prepared yet due to a late delivery. Clearly on the receipt you can see the time we were seated and the time that we had left. To not have vegetables prepared for lunch time service is totally unacceptable. The price charged for 8 calamari rings has also left a sour taste in my mouth. The onion rings were also quite doughy. 3. My partner ordered the wings. I am assuming it was baked in an oven? The wings were incredibly dry or possibly from the day before because no amount of sauce that it was soaked in would make them juicy. The blue cheese sauce was delicious! 4. We were one of three tables on the deck during our visit, there were not that many customers but there were two dirty tables next to us which were left unattended for quite a long period of time. Would I go back? I do not think so. Do not recommend.
Really a good place to go for a good vibe, good music and an amazing atmosphere. Amazing warm fireplace and everyone is very friendly and kind, you feel at ease and at home from the minute you walk in!!!! A must stop if you are in harties, even better with friends looking for a great evening out! Ps. They also have the best specials and food in town!!! Seafood is a must try!!!
First time at Fisherman's On Deck. Our waiter, Gift, was AMAZING. One waitress with orange hair, looked like she did not want to be there, not assisting at all. The food was below average. Tomato sauce tasted like soap.
Went here on a very quiet day, but the staff was not inside the restaurant to take another order from our table. Had to keep walking to go find someone when we wanted to order. Live music was nice, and food also good.
Terrible service. Waited 90 minutes for two children’s pizzas. No bottled water available to order. Manager just stares at you when you complain. Pathetic excuses as to why food is late. Asked for bill and still waited another 20 minutes! DO NOT RECOMMEND!Food: 1/5
We ordered 2 x pizzas. Waited longer than 1 hour. Brought one pizza. Waited 30 minutes still no second pizza. When asked what problem they said loadshedding. Yet it is wood fired pizza. Also restaurant was empty of other guests. So not busy. No one came to update on circumstances. Had to leave with pizzas in take away.
Good atmosphere. Have known Casper also for many years. Only thing you have to be careful of is late nights on weekends. Alot of youngsters have the tendency to be at establishment on weekends, and they do from time to time cause bar fights... As youngsters do... The food is phenominal and well priced. Good atmosphere. Actually quite a nice venue
Was dying for prawns and with a name like fishermans deck expected some great prawns. They were awful... covered in a gooey sauce that made it impossible to taste the prawns. A very disappointing experience. The place needs some attention, dusty and didn't feel clean. The only reason I am not giving a one star is they are pet friendly and the live singer was singing Afrikaans music we knew and could sing along to. Probably better for ribs... no fishing going on here. It's more like a student bar hangout IMO
