Flagship Brew

Great seeing this Riebeek institution still operating after lock down. Beer still top of the range and the new smaller menu caters well for all appetites.

We were greeted if that's what you can call it by a very unhappy waitress who didn't say a word. We placed our order 2 tasting trays & a portion of chilli nuggets. The service was speedy- but when I received my nuggets, the were frozen solid in the middle. Going to her and asking nicely to warm them up again, she didn't say a word, and just took it from me. Great beer but not going back there anytime soon.

Great beer, great vibe, great food. Henry and Marina are friendly, great hosts and happy to chat. Her IPA on tap is a winner! If you are in town do pay them a visit... Will def pop by again when we in town thank again!

It is really upsetting when you are being totally overcharged for a plate of Indian 'pastries' that were overcooked in the oil. just samoosas and spring rolls, but no pastries as per the photo on the menue.... Needles to say, we left and went to the Royal Hotel where we got REAL value for money...When a customer feels like he is being ripped off by a business, that customer will NOT recommend it...

Great service and food

Now I know I'm going to be the guy that rates lowly amongst all these 4 and 5 stars. But really... let's be honest, the beer is poor, the food. Oh god. The food was terrible. No vibe no people. And rightly so. Honestly a disservice to Riebeek's Kasteel. Get with it or close shop. I was scared at the menu, which looks like it was designed by someone in pre-school. Apologies to pre-schoolers, I've seen some good work. Spare yourself.

About the last two comments it's not the owner fault people are out and about and when you get here it's quite iv been here since 12 now 2:30 and have really enjoyed it staff is friendly and most seats are taken come experience it your self don't always trust a comment cos every one is a critic when they have nothing beter to do

Really good beer. Friendly owners and good simple food menu. Suspect this will become a solid favorite for years to come

All the way from Cape Town I am rating 5star for the peace and tranquility the area presents along with the hospitality of staff and great service coupled with pet friendlyness makes home away from home stress free

New owners are enthusiastic and the venue is informal and pleasant. Menu has an interesting variety. An asset to the Riebeek Valley.
