The RETIREMENT SUITES in KLERKSDORP provide accommodation and assisted living services once one has reached the stage that it is no longer possible or preferable to carry out one’s own household chores and before one becomes frail.

The residents of the Retirement Suites are accommodated in:
Bachelor suites
One bedroom suites
Luxury one bedroom suites
Super luxury two bedroom suites


These sunny, modern suites can be compared to accommodation in a luxury hotel and all meals are provided in a communal dining room. Laundry and cleaning services form part of the package.

The RETIREMENT SUITES forms part of the FLAMWOOD ESTATES security complex and enjoys the benefits of a high security area. Resident matrons are available at all times to render assistance where necessary.

PLEASE NOTE:
The RETIREMENT SUITES does not offer around the clock care or medical assistance. The adjoining clinic with limited medical services is available for this purpose and payment for care in this facility is made to the clinic itself.

The suites are available on life right. In short, this means that the amount you pay for the suite can be compared to an interest-free loan for the duration of your occupation of such suite. In cases where the suite is occupied by a couple, the life right period will terminate at the passing away of the longest surviving spouse. Should you opt to terminate your contract for any reason, six months written notice can be given after one full years occupation of the suite




SERVICES:

The following services are included in the monthly levy:

DSTV – nine channels plus the SABC channels
Security-electrified fencing with security guards on patrol on a 24-hour basis
One to three meals per day (depending on personal requirements
Personal services eg. Blood pressure readings on a regular basis; medication control etc
Cleaning services.

Electricity
Other municipal services eg. refuse removal and sewerage
Maintenance of buildings
Municipal rates and taxes
Insurance of buildings
Maintenance of communal facilities
Water and electricity usage in communal facilities
Distribution of postal items

Provision and maintenance of guest rooms
Library


Apart from the levy, your only financial responsibilities will be for fuel, telephone, clothing, medical aid, medication, etc.

Optional services will be added from time to time as the needs arise.

Monthly levy

Bachelor and one-bedroom suites:
Single person: R5,480.00
Couple: R7,415.00

Luxury one-bedroom suites:
Single person: R5,765.00

Super Luxury-bedroom suites:
Single person: R 7,540.00
Couple: R10,100.00

These amounts include compulsory lunch – breakfast is available at an additional R390.00 per person per month as well as supper at R480.00 per person per month.


COMMUNICATION:

Residents of each suite are supplied with a panic button.
Residents may have their own telephone installed.
Lunches are served in the communal dining room which ensures healthy social interaction.
Social trips are organized from time to time.
A monthly Newsletter is distributed to residents.
An interdenominational church service is held every Friday morning as 10am.
Social activities eg. playing of cards, bingo, rummykub etc are held on a weekly basis.
A weekly class of stretching exercises is presented by an instructress.

Lock-up garages are also available on life right at an additional cost of R40 000.00.
Carports are also available at R15, 000 (also on life-right).

A 30% deposit will assure you the peace of mind of undisturbed accommodation in a top class retirement suite where you will be well taken care of.
