My recent experience with Flight Center Hillcrest was when I needed to fly from Incheon, South Korea to Durban, South Africa. The travel agent that was handling my flight tickets and info requests was a lady at the Hillcrest branch. I have been in communication with this travel agent since early January 2022. In these times it is necessary to have all the extra documentation to be allowed on the flights to travel internationally since Covid the majority of airlines and government officials require passengers to get a negative PCR test result. It is of course very important that travel agents at Flight Center know and are aware of the extra and alternative documents required to be approved to fly internationally. I did the research and was told by travelers on websites like Facebook sites South Africans traveling during Covid that there is a document you can get for approval of boarding flights which is a letter from the Ports Health Director and Authority. SA Government assistance This travel agent at Hillcrest Flight Centre insisted that a Negative PCR test document was the only document accepted by the Airline flying internationally. I had told this Travel Agent more than 7 days Via what’s app in advance that I had tested positive for Covid and been told by the Medical testing center that Covid cells can stay in your body for up to 90 days even after recovering with medication as well as resting and isolating for 7 days as requested by government. With information I gave the Flight Center travel agent she still didn’t do the extra research to confirm if this information I had was indeed accepted and true. The day before my flight I test undecided and the retested which gave a positive result. Still I asked for information and the travel agent was not sure. So I did decided to go to the Incheon airport medical Centre and get assessed by a doctor to get a Letter of Recovery to email to the Ports Health Director and authority along with a copy of my passport, flight details, proof of exit of quarantine certificate, proof of undecided and positive PCR test result. My mother in SA phoned the Ports Health Director to state the urgency of my case to be able to board my flight from South Korea to South Africa. I am flabbergasted that a travel agent didn’t know all this and didn’t lift one finger to ensure I would be able to board my flight. If I had given up I would of had to pay extra with Flight Centre to change my flight dates and I would have had to pay for a hotel for however amount of nights. Please can Flight Centre update every single travel agent in their office what are the extra or alternative documents required to travel internationally. Stop acting ignorant and do the job required of you. Where are the travel agents that actually care for the passengers and so the extra mile to assistance when in emergency situations. I will never use this agency again!

We went on a trip with the help of flight centre and we told them I was vegetarian and then on the plane the assistant on the flight said that they did not tell them that I am vegetarian whatsoever!
