Loved it.. loved the early 6.30am swim before it gets full. Enjoyed the Roman baths at the Hyro.. loved the hydro sprays at the main pool to massage my back.. Chalets were clean and the kids loved the animals walking around. My brothers and kids were at the camping site which was also really awesome .. they camp every December.. Ablution facilities are kept clean.. enough life guards too Rooms: Clean Chalets.. well serviced. Clean towels and bedding
The hotel is a great place to stay for a night or 2. Breakfast is included at the Spur Restaurant which is also Halaal Certified. The hotel rooms definitely need an upgrade but they have Free Wifi and are in close proximity to the pools and the hydro. All the pools outside except for the wavepool are heated, this is such a bonus! We went in Winter and it was lovely. The Hydro closes at 9. Chalets are decent, also pretty old and in need of an upgrade. They aren't as close to the pools and hydro as the hotel is. Rooms: Rooms need an upgrade. Beds are super old. Noteworthy details: The Resort is well kept. Pools are warm, the shop on site keeps the necessities. Overall, you're bound to have a fantastic time.
We were pleasantly surprised! Visited in winter - was such a fun day with the kids. The place was clean, staff was very friendly and everything worked. The water is really warm too.Service: 5/5
Warmbaths was a great family getaway. Suitable cabins, great poolside entertainment, slides and even a game drive. Convenient store and halal spur on the property.Rooms: 4/5
The resort needs more for check in guests. Could do with a games room. Chalets are not getting power from the generator Mattresses could do with a change Wifi could be a nice to have by the chalets Putt putt area could be cleaner n the green felt changed. Best thing is the warm water pools and hydro. Staff are helpful and friendly.
For me it's the facilities that was disappointing, regret extending, everything is closed, can't request it either cause we get flat no, and it was a no directly by the supervisor. It rained the whole morning and when it's not raining, we told its closed, life guards are there but nothing is reopened for the slides, to top it all off a day before it was opened and the life guards said it was on arrangement, this place advertises this on the website as a feature, however I must still request for something that I paid for, no matter that didnt work either, flat no, no attempt to even engage or try to open it since there is a request.. Regret extending, no a very nice way to want us to return, it's fine IL take my huge number and go else where. Location great, log cabins great, chalet looks basic in comparison. Rooms: Log cabin was great, chalet basic
The resort is well maintained and we usually go there for the very warm water. However, for the daily price , I seriously think that the Chalets need an upgraded look and feel coz they've been like this for many years. Rooms: Chalets are very basic , desperately need an upgrade. They've been the same for many many years.
Really good service, however the ladies for come for housekeeping just enter your hotel room and in terms of privacy that is not professional at all. Overall it was a nice stay and a great breakaway from routine. There is a R500.00 key deposit that you have to give upon checking in and this is something that you aren’t made aware of when booking.
They can do with internet connection on their chalet but overall it was great experience.Nice mini escape from the city.Rooms: 4/5
Stunning place. You can choose between the hotel, chalets, log cabin or the caravan park. We stayed in a chalet and it was absolutely beautiful. The chalets are neat and well kept. There is a good distance between the chalets so you can enjoy your privacy while not being too secluded. You are surrounded by nature. It is so serene. The rooms are cleaned daily. But there is no WiFi available in the chalets. The other downfall is loadshedding. Only the hotel has a generator. But being surrounded by trees and animals is worth it. We saw a family of warthogs on a morning walk and had a family of buck breakfast with us. The buck were so friendly and gentle. This experience made my whole trip. If you are a resident at the resort you have access to the water park and the hydro pool. The water park has many slides and fun activities as well as an outdoor heated pool. There are lifeguards on duty between 8am and 5pm daily. There are also places where you can buy food/snacks/drinks at. The hydro has an indoor and outdoor heated pool as well outdoor sunbeds. There is also a rheumatism pool which is said to be from the natural hotspring I am not a hundred percent sure on this though. Shower and changing facilities are available for males and females separately. Please note that only appropriate swimwear is allowed. There is also a game reserve located within the resort and game drives are available upon request. It is R150 per person adult if you are going with a guide. And R100 per person if you are doing a self drive, but you have to pay an additional fee. We went with a guide, I would definitely suggest this option. The guide is very knowledgeable and knows the routes to take and also shares relevant information along the way. All staff are very attentive and friendly. This is definitely a well worth it experience. Nearby activities: There is not too much to do around Bela-Bela. Most of the places are game lodges/resorts or golf estates. There is the Waterberg Zipline not too far from the resort. Most available activities are located within other resorts/game reserves and the like. Safety: I found the area to be very safe. Obviously, this being South Africa, one needs to always be alert, but we didn't have any incidents. I left clothes outside and went out for the day and they were still on the line when I got back. This isn't something I can even do at home. Food & drinks: There are not many options for good food in Bela-Bela. I most enjoyed Rustys Roadhouse. The food here was really good and reasonably priced. There are a handful of eating places in the Bela Mall. And a few randomly along the road if you drive around. There is a Spur located within the resort but it isn't the best. I'd suggest cooking your own food if you are staying at the self catering accommodation.
