We arrived about 30 minutes before closing time but they treated us like their 1st customers for the day. They did not look irritated or rushing to close up. They gave us all their attention and served us great drinks and food, not even bakes but freshly prepared meals.
Honestly, Fournos at fourways Crossing still remains the best balance between good quality breakfast at a good price. It costs us R130 for 1 filter coffee comes with one refill, almond cuppacino, and a smashed avo on toast. Me being me, I forgot to take a photo of the dam food, but I'll vouch for it being delicious. Me and my wife shared the one meal - we just added an extra egg as it comes with one egg. Such a treat, and they have so much more. Ask for Terry. He was an amazing waiter!
Was meaning to try this place for a long time and finally made it. The food is great, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Service was alittle slow but they do get busy during breakfast. They also have a great bakery.
Now THIS is a chicken and mayo sandwich! See comparison to Vida. Same price if you excl. the avo.
Lovely portions. The staff are friendly and the taste of the foods is delicious to put it mildly. A nice place to just chill with your peeps or take someone to. Will definitely recommend for anyone. It has a nice relaxed vibe with foods and bakery included.
I haven’t been here since 2008, I’ve asked for their chilli and daaaaahem it’s top end good job guys seriously much respect. I grow the Carolina Reeper on my farm in cape Winelands so not saying this just because - good job and hey if you can get Zanele as a waiter - she gives you a true African experience with loads of respect on top!
Purchased 2 chocolate mouse cakes yesterday and started eating them today. As the chocolate from the sides started falling I noticed some green and then I peeled back all of the chocolate and it was covered in mold ! Absolutely disgusting and I'm 38 weeks pregnant ! I wonder how long this has been there, I would never buy from any fournos again! To think it's so highly rated and it would be fresh ! So upsetting !
I regularly frequent Fournos Fourways, especially for their delicious samosas but I had bad experience on the 22nd of May 2023. I went early in the morning to get samoosas for breakfast for the office and it was quite a big order, I had ordered 16 samoosas 8 chicken & 8 beef amongst other samoosas and I was really excited to introduce the samoosas to my colleagues as I had always enjoyed them when I bought them. So instead of the employee giving me 8 chicken and 8 beef as I ordered, I got 16 veggie samoosas and these would have been okay if they were nice but they were awful and just too spicy so nobody enjoyed the samoosas including myself. It also was not clear for me to see that I had received the wrong samoosas as they all look the same, you only know once you take a bite. What's more disappointing is the person who served me did not really care for my order as he was squashing all my samoosas into one tiny little box and after I told him it was a big order he still did not bother to get a bigger box but rather got me another tiny box to put my samoosas in.
4 stars only because we had to send food back. We frequently eat at Fournos Fourways. The food quality and presentation has always been of high quality. Today, however, that was not the case. To Fournos credit though, The replacement plate of Avo with bacon and a poached egg on toast, was of the quality that we have come to expect.
As always good food. One of our favorite places for a meal out and generally breakfast on the weekends. Today a small gripe though. Almost a constant rearranging of tables and chairs which in itself is okay but why the staff insist on dragging tables along a tile floor and the screech that goes with it I don’t know. And then adding chairs by almost throwing them into position with the banging of chairs against table legs. A degraded atmosphere around what should have been a pleasant family breakfast.
