I always find the staff to be friendly and helpful.  Prices of cell phone covers and screen protectors are very good. On my last visit they removed the old screen protector for me and took great care to ensure that the new one was perfectly fitted.

I can understand that we were the last customers in the store, but the customer service was horrible. Particularly as an Autistic person purchasing a plasma light of R800, one would think that they would want the sale, but honestly felt like we weren't welcome at all. What made matters worse, the lights was turned off while I wasn't even out of the store and then as leaving, the person I assumed to be the manager physically bumped into me, which was relatively traumatic. I'll probably still come back as I like the toys sold, but hope customer care will be improved in the future. Let's hope the plasma light works...

It was a bit crowded when we visited so perhaps it's not a fair review of what the store can offer, but cleaarly, it's not designed for a crowd as it very quickly feels claustrophobic.  The staff were friendly and helpful but seemed to struggle with the number of customers making several demands on them.  There is a wide range of accessories, but falls short on the lack of items like hard drives, flash drives and memory cards - especially given that they have many cellphone covers.  There's much potential here to customise your digital toys and there's even a tool section for those who have the skills.

What an absolutely horrible experience at the Canalwalk branch. When you buy something the cashier is slightly more friendly, but dare return something made a mistake and the cashier treats you like a piece of rubbish.  He is SO rude He is SO abrupt  Not even sure if he did the reversal right on a debit card. No idea when I will get my money back.  And because of this, I will never support this store again.

I purchased a screen guard at the Table Bay Mall in March 2023. I heard the employee who seemed new stating to the manager that he damaged the screen guard. The manager advised that its only the adhesive on the guard that will disappear after 24 hours.  It never disappeared and Taariq the manager at the Canal Walk branched assisted me.  He applied the guard correctly, apologized and was extremely helpful.  Well done in great customer service.

I would just like to thank all the staff at Gadget Time Canal Walk for the amazing service I received there. i needed to connect my new smart tv to my amplifier that i bought in 1975. They were friendly , patient.. helpful and .super knowledgeable. A truly amazing advert for your company..Thanks and well done to each and every one of you that assisted me. Service was excellent and there is a good range of cool stuff. Only downside is selling certain products that arent up to standard. Check the L on Mario's head. This brings the entire professionalism and trust in the store down and makes it a bit of a joke. Overall I like the store  just dissapointed about the detail

Enjoyed the purchase of that smart projector my brother bought me before Christmas. Thank you Tariq, sam, and i think someone named moomy brother told me the name of the people that helped for suggesting it, its not something i needed but i enjoy it! I use it daily. Whoever your employer is, i hope they keep you longer, give you a raise or something. My brother told me to write this review for you guys because he loved the look of the store and everything about it. Friendly staff, very helpful items and loads of things i would get as gifts for friends and family

Very fast to sell something, very rude when trying to return faulty item. Wouldn’t recommend.

I have been frequenting Gadet Time for years and suffice to say I will never set foot in this store again.  I visited yesterday to browse for potential gifts for a birthday present. As per usual, one third of the store was only for cellphone covers and the rest some anime and electronic goods. The stock itself is honestly China Town quality, you'd have better luck going anywhere else.  But that is not the main thing that utterly irritated me. When I was asked if I needed any assistance, I said I was just browsing and went to the anime section to browse. The employee proceeded to follow me closely and then planted his feet a short distance away and simply watched me like a hawk. Even when I made eye contact with him, he wasn't shy to continue staring with a somewhat smug grin on his face. I understand that people may have tried robbing them before, but come on! The audacity the man had to continue staring while I was trying to shop actually drove me to leave. There is such a thing as boundaries, believe it or not.  I work as a sales assistant too, and I know that staring like that at customers, especially when you don't have the manners to look away politely when making eye contact or even explain your actions in honesty, is a surefire way to lose business.  Don't visit this store. You will he disappointed by blatantly rude staff who, honestly, need to have an attitude adjustment.
