The Garden route Botanical Garden is a Public Benefiting Organization aimed at the conservation of the unique flora of the Southern cape region. We achieve this through raising awareness of its beauty through our living plant collections, education, scientific research and outreach programmes.
Mission: The Garden Route Botanical Garden (GRBG) aims to conserve, promote and research the rich but threatened floral diversity of the coastal region from Gouritz River to van Stadens River and the Little Karoo, an area integral to the unique Cape Floral Kingdom. The GRBG was created to enhance awareness and understanding of the surrounding natural beauty, its biodiversity and uniqueness and the socioeconomic value of our Floral Heritage.
