Gateway Cuba Lounge

Service was beyond poor. Bartenders not interested in customers. Bartender did not know what he was doing we wanted to buy 3 bottles and gave us a prices then said they do not have stock yet there was a case sitting on the counter. When the manager was called in he said it is what it is. Shocking because we were a group of people. We had also paid in advance for a table at a cost of R2000.00 STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The place was untidy, floors were wet because of the rain and people walking in with wet shoes but that could have been cleaned instead everyone was walking over that mess which jus made it look so unsightly. Bouncers are rude. So only VIP patrons are allowed to wear caps. If you have a VIP table which apparently costs R20k then no problem but if you general access, caps aren't permitted. Wat rubbish? They throw u out if u refuse to remove your cap. Hygiene in this place is questionable. The glasses were smelly...used to love the vibe here but now it's non-existent.

If gross was a place it'll be here. The lady manager was so rude to me until I said I belong to one of the large reserved tables then her attitude changed. Throughout the night she was busy screaming at the staff infront of customers. I did not feel welcomed. I also felt so disgusted sitting on those crusty and sticky couches. Would rather spend my $$$ else where because I only got served when I took out my black card. Any recommendations besides Cuba.

I recently visited Cuba Lounge and I must say, I had an amazing time. The atmosphere was energetic and the music was fantastic. They had great music and a diverse crowd. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were reasonably priced.

Had my sons 21st birthday on Saturday night. We was given a fantastic room to accomodate our guests. The servise was great. Food was lovely. We want to thank Caroline from Cuba for helping us us with all the arrangements.

If I could give this review zero stars, I would. Absolutely horrible. The place itself is unsanitary, the toilets always filthy. I have a friend who worked here and they treat their staff like slaves overtime work, underpaid, sworn at and ridiculed at every turn. Incredibly disappointing that such a company is still running in this day and age.

Fun safe place to enjoy with friends or family. Food is great so is the service

This place have a great atmosphere. It's perfect for chilling with a bunch of friends while dancing and enjoying good music. I also liked the outdoor seating setup. The food is really delicious, I enjoyed their succulent prawns. I didn't like the fact that we waited for a while before we got seated, everyone seemed to be busy and no one was focusing on making sure that customers are welcomed and seated on arrival. The food also took a bit long to be ready. Our waiter, Hugh provided a great service and made sure that we stayed happy customers. I can always go back there for some more fun.
