The “Crazy Korean” company has been fermenting in the back of our minds, like a good batch of kimchi, for a few years. It is now finally the right time to share it with the good people of Durban.

KJ Lee arrived in South Africa in 2005, dragged by his Durban born wife Natasha Lee and their two gorgeous sons, after they had lived in Korea for a number of years. They have both been dying to introduce Korean food to South Africans for many years and are so excited to finally be able to do so together with renown chef extraordinaire Mr Lim!

I loved it, we were given an impromptu lesson on how to use chopsticks, but don't stress if u don't get it like me there are forks. Tried out several of the dishes and kimchi taste a lot like pickle I highly recommend this little gem. Portions were large and we all shared, if u like it spicy definitely try it out.
BEST Korean food in South Africa! Honestly, was so delicious and affordable! Portions were HUGE had left overs till the following day. As an added bonus, Rebecca, the hostess was super friendly and helpful! Thanks for a wonderful experience!Food: 5/5
The food was more than 5 stars! Highly recommend for those who are looking for the authentic Korean taste. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always checking up on us. The owner is super amazing and friendly as well. He happily answered all our Korea-related questions while treating us to a delicious meal. Definitely looking forward to going back again!
Annyeong! Thank heavens for Crazy Korean, I don’t think I will ever survive living in Durban without having to eat authentic asian food. My husband and I are huge fan of these dishes gang-jeong chicken, beef gal-bi, and of course kimchi-jjigae. Lest I forget, the kimchi is amazing it’s our favorite too. Thank you for using only the freshest ingredients in making these dishes. Our cravings are truly satisfied. We will definitely keep coming back!
I went to the newly opened Kloof branch. I ordered a combo of spicy pork and sticky chicken. The food was phenomenal to say the least!! But not only that, I was treated to some culture and tradition which took it from just lunch to a whole new dining and sharing experience. The owner is clearly proud of his culture and shares it warmly. And that is what will make me return over and over again! Well done!
Delicious food and very friendly and helpful owner. Quiet and clean. Bit pricey but they have good specials on Wednesday and Friday.
Absolutely amazing experience. The food was absolutely the BEST ever had. The Kimchi is a MUST try, the homemade is the best and this was definitely up there. The owner was so friendly and super amazing at teaching us the traditions of his culture with myself being very fascinated by it. Will absolutely be going back, and recommending it to my friends and family
This restaurant has great portion sizes for their price point. Went there on recommendation from a colleague and really enjoyed the food. The downside is they close early but if you really want the food, I guess you make a plan to be there. I'm going to make this spot a regular on the food list.
The service and hospitality we received was incredible. The staff and owner were super friendly! The food was a burst of amazing flavours and hearty portions were served to us. The warmth of Korean culture was definitely felt and well worth the experience. Will definitely be back for more!!
Got take out, my first Korean meal experience. portions are large, thank you so much, such a friendly owner and staff. Looking forward to my next meal. Vegetarian options: Quite a few options for vegetarians.
