Gemelli Cucina Bar

I had a lovely experience here! The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is lively. The food is amazing and I'm not even kidding when I say that ALL the dishes we ordered were delicious. I would 100% come here again and highly recommend eating here.Food: 5/5

Salad was nice. Some food was reasonable, like the couscous not the ribs and the lamb shank not the accompanying vegetables. Service was terrible. Waiters couldn't recommend food or time it's delivery correctly. Bringing mains while the table was full of starters. Alcoholic cocktails were watered down. Bathroom was not clean sink area and seat. It was my friend's birthday treat and after over R2k spent, I wished I had gone elsewhere.

We had an amazing meal at Gemelli! This is our first time to South Africa from the USA and Gemelli did not disappoint! From making the reservation and all the changes that we made along the way, the Gemelli staff were very accommodating! I appreciated all the kindness and professionalism of the staff! Our wait staff was wonderful as well! Thank you Gemelli for helping me celebrate my husband's birthday in Johannesburg!

The service is top tier you don’t wait for one person to attend to you, literally anyone makes sure that you are served. Food doesn’t even take long… my main arrived while I was still half way my starter. The food was so tasty and worth every cent. If you want excellent tasting food go to Gemelli!

My friend and I had a great time at Gemelli on Saturday and we're definitely returning soon, both the food and dessert was made to perfection, I have a sweet tooth and the cheesecake is a must repeat. -Served by Sandile.

My best experiences here are always on a weekday simply because its not too busy, the restaurant is extremely popular and with good reason because I’m yet to eat a meal I don’t enjoy here, but it can get too loud on weekends due to the large crowds. Budget around R300-R500 pp for food and 2/3 drinks plus tip. A bit on the pricey side but well worth the cost. Oh and the staff? Absolutely amazing service always. NB: reservations essential on weekends and public holidays simply because it’s such a popular restaurant, on weekdays you can get away with a walk in

This place is divided into 2 sperate spaces, the one space is calm and relaxed, the other space is vibey, crowded and groovy. I would give them 5 star, their food is devine. But you can literally taste the gas they use on the steak and springbock. They are a bit pricy as well. But if you have a deep pocket, I'd definitely recommend this place. Love it.

Black people and oxtail.... We had a our company dinner here. It was great, good food and conversation. Love the vibe of the restaurant. Got myself ...yes you guessed it....the oxtail pasta dish. For my starter I had their summer tartlet. Wonderful flavours in both. For dessert their signature dessert the Gemelli cheesecake. Over all experience proves it's a place to go back to with good friends....

Gemelli is a world class restaurant. You can taste the passion in the food. That's how good it is. The Phirinyane bar is also a good addition cause the initial space was rather small for their popularity. It's a really great place. U miss the taste of their food from starter to dessert if you haven't been in a while. Absolutely one of my faves!
