I visited my late mom’s grave only to find the cemetery in complete shambles. The new owners do no care at all. They haven’t not been maintaining the cemetery nor ensuring there’s adequate security. Most of the tombstones are destroyed and graves damaged. The fountain where the remains of those cremated lie is in a total mess and has been vandalised to a point you can see what’s in those boxes. I couldn’t find my mom’s grave due to the grass that was cut and garden not maintained. I was sent from pillar to post and they o my confirmed they found my mom’s grave when I had already left Cape Town. I was so heartbroken and disappointed. The previous owners kept the cemetery in excellent condition and our loved ones were lying in dignity.
This place has become a dumping site, the staff scam you out of money with promises the erect tombstones and clean but never does. The lady in the office, Tammy takes your money with a smile and the upkeep manager Eleanor lies to you with a straight face regarding the grave.
They are incompetent and will promise the world and not deliver. Still waiting for them to fix up my dad's grave since 2020. They cannot get a simple job of getting 2 layer concrete done. 2 years later we still waiting. Calls not answered, they send you from one "air head" to the other. Legal route is the only way to get them to comply.
My mother wanted a tombstone made for my Late Father Moderator George Corneluis Brown and we went to Gloria Memorial we were quoted just over R12000.00 and was promised that it will be erected on my Late Dad's birthday which would have been on the 20th of September 2021. My mother paid in full for the Tombstone on the 3rd of August 2021 the same day the qoutation was given. The Sales Lady Elvita told us that all will be sorted for the 20th September 2021 and we dont need to worry about anything. Till to date NO tombstone was erected for my dad as promised by Gloria Memorial. We paid in full but was left with empty promises and lies. We went so far as to speak to Ellanore the Supervisor and Jeneane the Manager who also promised that it would be done but never kept their promises. We as a family feel betrayed we feel that we were lied to and taken for a ride. Very bad and disgusting service.
Supposedly a Private Cemetry. Place is a mess. No water on site when you visit. No workers in sight. Been in the newspapers on different ocasions for their bad service, but no improvement. Our loved ones deserves Dignity.
Terrible service. Graves are in shambles. Most tombstones are either broken or not visible. Not what we were promised when we bought plots. Rather use municipal cemetery. When I called today I was told they wud call me back before I cud complete my sentence. No engraving on my moms tombstone since January 2020
I have been dealing with Eleanor since February 2018 until now , my late brother grave is mess, this Eleanor woman is no where to be found, if you find her she keeps empty promises, I' m so tired of the unprofessional ism. its not like we didn't pay for the service that they are rendering for us. please people let us gather and expose this place BAD ... BAD Service....

Worst service every, I have been dealing with Eleanor since May 2015 and to date my mother's tombstone is still incomplete. She has since decided to avoid my calls and messages. They don't deliver tombstones and also refuse to refund the money made for the item. They are thieves, do not trust this business. Do not support them.
