The Graduate Arts Project (GAP) is an incubation programme aimed at graduate students from Arts institutions.
Broadway as a concept has stood the test of time and has inspired institutions like Tshwane University of Technology’s Performing Arts to establish departments like Musical Theatre whose aim is to annually stage Broadway’s memorable musicals on a smaller scale. Although there is great learning that takes place during the process, yet this doesn’t guarantee jobs for our students when they leave the institutions. Students are positioned to become employees and not employers and it will require a serious mind-set shift & skills development to turn this around.
