Gym Company Boskruin

I have been a member for years. The best thing about gym company is the price. The equipment is generally ok, but some of the more popular machines tend to break down often and then be iutnof service for a few days. On the while not a big deal as there is usually enough equipment to go around. The squash courts are a great attraction as there are not many around Johannesburg for as good a price. It's unfortunate but during load shedding the courts cannot be used. One frustrating thing is that people tend to use benchpress specific machines for their whole fitness routine and spend upwards of an hour there, this can be very annoying when both machines are being used this way. I wish there were rules in place for this. I fully recommend this gym.

I’ve been with this branch since 2021, the equipment is tired but still works. No bells, no whistles here. I requested, through the manager, filled in the necessary form that they get the ankle strap to use on the pulley machine. It is the only gym I have been to that doesn’t have this. They won’t buy this piece of equipment which costs less than R500. The excuse is none of the other Gym Companies have it, yet they buy more kick boxing bags. When we pay the annual admin fee their SMS stats they use the money to buy equipment. Very disappointed to say the least. They are not interested in their members. Their choice of music is another problem. Who wants to gym listening to jazz….?

Gym company is a scam. When they lure you in, they lie about the terms and conditions of which you only find out about them when you cancel your membership. The Manager there was also pretty rude when I asked for cancelation. No thank you. Not going back there again.

Disappointed in the service. Tried to fix an issue with a payment, it's been 4 months and the staff just don't get it done. Have also asked for the extractor fans to work in the squash courts, the answer was immediately no with no reason why. Equipment that is supposed to be "temp out of order" never get fixed. Ya ne..

Thank you Gym Company Bromhof, what a pleasure it was to train!!!! Since new Management started, there's a 360 degrees turnouround in our training experience. The music, the equipment, the friendly and helpful Willem Bester just made our day!!! Well done, you are definitely making a difference.

A great little gym. It's a bit sequestered away, you have to go deep into the center to find it. But it's a great place for a regular workout. Friendly staff and good equipment

Very nice n clean gym with so many clients, to my surprise they have only one triceps pushdown cable. Am sure management can do better and buy more cables pleases

Why am i not surprised by the reviews in here, this gym has been taking money from my account even though i have sent through an email to cancel , i have never been able to attend the gym due to work and had to move to another province. They keep sending me useless emails month end saying im in arrears, i would never recommend joining this gym they are unprofessional. very useless

I give this gym 0 Stars. It is absolutely useless and would recommend anyone considering this facility to find an alternative gym, Management of this facility is appalling. Every week, there is something at the gym that does not work or broken. The machines are not well maintained and are neglected. There is no hygiene standards in this facility, and management will do nothing to improve the hygiene of the gym. Machines are left with other users sweat on them from days. Management does not make any effort to enforce the rules of the gym and to ensure a pleasant experience for all clients. The gym Sauna has not been working for 2 months. This is literally 50% of the facilities offered by the gym and people are only getting half of the agreed package they signed up for. There has been no effort or sense of urgency to fix the gym sauna. Yet every client pays a maintenance fee for what exactly? If nothing in the gym is going to work or nothing is being done to upgrade or actually maintain the facility, most likely the money collected by the gym for maintenance fee is being used to fill managements pocket. Staff members will purposefully say the sauna Is not working to cut down on electricity costs. Not to mention the plain disregard of the Gym/Sauna rules by its users and management refuses to do anything about this when brought to their attention on numerous occasions. The staff members are not helpful and are unfriendly. I would not recommend this facility at all. Gym Company Bromhof is appalling compared to its other locations. Get new management to run and operate gym company bromhof. Lol, reading all the negative reviews of gym company bromhof just reinforces the fact that management and staff will do nothing to improve this facility. Stay clear and DO NOT SIGN UP!!!

My membership was moved from Fit24 when it closed down without my approval. When I try to cancel the membership with Gym Company, I get told I must send my confidential information to a WhatsApp account to get it canceled. What a disappointment since I've never approached the gym company for anything but they think they have the right to debit my account.
