My son was performing there... The great stage, lighting and seats are the best. I enjoyed the whole show
The theatre itself is beautiful and they have a cute little cafe where you can pick up light snacks and drinks to have before and in-between performances. The Hex has a wonderful ambience and seems to be always full of excitement and anticipation from the audience.
The singing mermaid show was fabulous. Watching all the little ones putting on a show, was truly wonderful. The adminstration of ticket handling needs to shape up. Printing a list with small font in dim lighting, is already setting one up for delays.
Small theatre good for small local plays, dancing and music. At intermission there is plenty of room in the lobby and undercover outside to stretch your legs. There is a kiosk that appears to sell a wide range of items.
I went there for a magic show MoMagic... It's a comfortable, intimate venue. My daughter's preschool hosts their annual end of year concert there. There is food and refreshments sold there at reasonable prices as well.
A place where memories are made, being a performer or an audience member. A place etched into many Pietermaritzburg people's mind for many reasons from well maintained facilities, great shows and great times enjoyed with friends and students.
One of the most versatile theatres in the Southern Hemisphere, "The Hex" - as it is known locally - has put on any number of performances from dance shows to plays to concerts and even seminars. Staffed by a friendly and dedicated group of professionals. Whether you're looking to use the venue or just attend an event there you can always be sure you're in for a treat.
The 80s Rock! Well done Peter and Co!
The Hexagon Theatre is simply the cosmopolitan soho cafe for students. Always well maintained. ..the service is fast and great unless you are ordering a dagwood uderstandibly. Everything is also made fresh as they have a monster kitchen and offer event catering.
A good theatre space. Ample parking. The problem is you can't see it from the roadside immediately as it is within the university premises. That could be a problem for first timers. I always have a good experience here.
