Highlands Spar

What lovely staff in Spar Sunnyside Street. Since it opened quite a while ago now, I must say that my shopping experiences which could be 3 to 4 times a week have been really positive. Very helpful, polite staff, each and every one in their own personal way. If I could I would give 12 out of 10 stars. Just amazing - could teach other retail shops a thing or two. Credit where credit is due. You are a credit to Spar, Sunnyside. I could sing your praises all day long. Thank You, You really are appreciated.

Great local store, the hot food counter could do with it being managed better. Maybe better selection of food , breakfast on for longer . Maybe even do Sunday carvery dinners like other spars do, the kitchen is well equipped to do so

On the whole the staff are friendly and helpful and as I live nearby I'm frequently in. However, when I buy cigarettes, some members of staff hold on to the packet until my payment has gone through. This is uncalled for behaviour and makes me feel as if I would run off with a pack of cigs! All the staff know me and this behaviour is uncalled for.

My local spar. Delicious pastrami and great brownies. If haven tried the apple and cinnamon cake squares your missing out. The guy who works in mace always grabs the groceries right out of my hands, not here, there is a self checkout - 5/5

Just not a fan of the service. Accidentally walked off after my card declined and the server who said his name was Boris clearly a fake name as his nametag said something else which I couldn't make out started yelling at me and telling me to "stop right there or face the consequences." I stopped and implied I was a fool by saying it was a "foolish error" which I think is uncalled for. Beans were out of date.

very handy shop and lovely staff particualrly the lad Eamonn who is always very pleasant and friendly.

Hot food counter used to be better and better value , staff nice enough but was in today and had to ask for more cause when paying 4.95 for curry there is definitely better value even in takeaways , use to go everyday but I'll not be getting the hot food again

Bought a couple of slices of cooked bacon at the food counter. Were hard and dry, liked they had been cooked for days before. Very poor show for 65p per slice.

It's a decent store and good place for it. Would benefit from having an alcohol section and for some reason feels a bit small in terms of layout, i.e they could probably fit more stuff in.

This is my local and I'm so happy that it is. Staff are helpful efficient friendly the shop is clean well stocked and great variety love it
