The staff was very rude from the moment I entered the shop. I will never buy a thing from them again.
I visit periodically and worry about them coping sometimes in a transitioning community like Hatfield is. They can ask me why when they want to. Rather it's a surprising store with things that you might not find elsewhere. Also with some very experienced staff, when you get to know them. Just their stock levels let them down a little too often. But well worth a visit. They do better than Buchels & Chamberlains at times!!
The lady who answered the phone was very rude and not helpful at all. Once put through to someone who knew was I was asking there was lots of help.
This shop I visited was located at 1093 Burnett Street, Hatfield, Pretoria. The shop was mainly into the supplies of all kinds of hardware one could think of including paints, door locks, all kinds of electrical wares tools and tools. One could also find various kinds of security locks, glues and tapes. The shop even had a section where keys are cut in duplicates and even to cut missing by study security the lock design and mechanism. Their customer service quality of the staffs is good. Keep it up.
Used to be my go to until a staff member wouldn't put on a mask and then insulted me, yelled at me and generally threw a tantrum for being asked to obey covid protocols. This was during a stage of high case numbers. I asked staff to cut me a mirror, they cut wrong, made me pay for the mistake and then kept the mirror. Unimpressed, won't be going back
Helpfull staff and a wide variety of products, you should be able to find most basic DIY necessities as well as some more advanced stuff. Key cutting and duplication is also done here.
Very disappointed with this hardware's approach. I expect unreasonable policies from large corporate chains, but not from a owner run local hardware. I wanted to purchase 3 remote controls and if they were wrong would like to exchange them within the the hour for the correct one. I was met with 'we don't accept returns on electrical equipment'. Again, that's what I would expect from a large chain. I'll keep my money and give it to a shop willing to help or maybe just support the large chain and put another nail in the coffin of the local store. Up your game guys!
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Wide range of products. Ideal location for students in need of hardware supplies. Wish I knew about them sooner!
Not the best service. But has most of the supplies I need in close proximity, so you take what you get.
