What a terribly filthy smelling an unpleasant place, the security and staff are rude. They seems to think they are so entitled and above the public!!! The systems are pathetic! Brakpan Home Affairs are disgusting!!!! Booking made online 8am to 9am Wednesday 16 Nov 2022 arrived at 7:50 to be informed by security they only open at 9am?? The staff are having a meeting. Website indicated Wednesday trading hours from 8am? This is unacceptable after the fourth booking!!!! Why make online bookings if you have to wait 6 hours!!! Shocking!!!!!

Your service is absolutely disgusting. I made an appointment for 9 am by 11 am I was still waiting in queue without even being asked why I was there in the first place. Apparently even if u have an appointment u must still wait in line after 3 hours of no help I left without being helped. There's a guy standing by the gate casually letting people in, when u ask why r u waiting so long in spite of having an app he ignores you. Sorry but this is the pathetic service we get at your dept for our tax that gets paid every month. Shouldn't even get a one star rating because it's too high for your service

We had an appointment and it took about an hour n a half to finish a passport application. This alot than Alberton where we spent the whole day for the same reason. The office is very small and very few tellers so its slow but they are friendly and organized.

Worse services we had appointment for 8 to 9 we got called in at 2 n those who was behind us were getting in reallly need some strong ppl to supervises that place n ppl r so rude to anser that ìt not normal day

The worst experience ever. I'm disgusted that in 2022 we still dealing with horrific service from home affairs. So I know when you visit public/government establishments you need to prepare yourself mentally, emotionally and even spiritually for bad service and experience and I thought I had prepared only to be brought to tears when we waited outside for 2 hours first to be let inside then another 4 hours just for a registration of birth. They forgot about us and we were the last to leave just after 16:00 when they close at 15:30. It was only at 15:55 that they relised we still have not received the print out of the birth certificate, no apology no nothing just talks about how they want to knock off as it's a Friday. Waiting 6 hours with a c-section operation at home affairs is crazy, i was in so much pain :. They should atleast prioritize the elders and parents to new borns but mostly just improve their service and find a better system to make things work and flow.

Very quick and efficient. Took less than 15 minutes to finalize smart ID and passport applications photos and biometrics.

No assistance at all, booked for my passport in November and it hasn’t been processed till today their phone lines are just ringing no answer at all….they must just close because we not getting any assistance….

Rubbish home affairs. Opens at 8am but 8:15 still outside busy cleaning. Nothing said to us. Closes at 3:30pm. Why not clean then or by 7am. Sign of bad service to come

What a shocker 5 hour wait in the street outside, you have to rent a chair to sit on the street next to the road for two tills that are working.
