Waited 2 hours to finally get our order, we wanted to chill while the sun sets and enjoy the food in the yard however that couldn't happen because by the time we got it we wanted to leave. However there was this one girl who kept checking on us. There should be a side for people who came to chill and people who are coming to it, they could better their management cause iMess!. Food was okay.

I had very high expectations of Yummy Tingz but not only was I disappointed, I was infact hurt. The establishment has got great potential and the staff is extremely friendly. You get greeted with a smile from the gate by the bouncer and they even help you get a table when it's full. However, the kitchen is a complete mess. It is so disorganized and poorly managed that when I go back I will ensure that I have eaten beforehand and don't waste my time ordering food. When you order firstly they don't give you an order number which makes me wonder how in the world they track and manage the orders. I then waited about an hour and still didn't get my food. When I went to the kitchen to enquire I was asked again what my order was and the guy apologized for the delay and wrote my order down on a piece of paper and said I must continue waiting. I went again the second time after another 30 minutes and was met by a 10 persons queue of people who had ordered waay before me demanding refunds. It took me camping in the kitchen for the owner to come and ask what my order was and when asking the kitchen staff, they seemed to have no clue. To put the cherry on top, they had run out of steak, which is what I had ordered. He asked me to order something else which I did because after spending about 3 hours, I was very hungry. 30 minutes later the order finally came. The food was delicious and the presentation was 5 Star quality. After eating I immediately left because my date was already put off and had been hounding me the whole time to cancel and go to another place. Rather than that, the music is good and the vibe is amazing. I love the seating arrangements especially the rooftop. My advise for anyone that goes there, don't go there hungry because you will wait more than an hour for the food, if it arrives. Also be prepared to drink whatever they might happen to have on that day because they don't have a wide selection of drinks. This place has enormous potential to be one of the best in Soweto. They just need get their kitchen in order.

The food was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it I’ll give it 5 stars, however waiting an hour for my sit-in order and another hour for my takeaway, ruined my entire Yummy Thingz experience

Place have a lots of potential though small details are still missed, like being served your food and then have to wait for cutlery....will definitely come back though cos the vibe is quite amazing
