Ordered the paneer Naan. Talk about underwhelming. I'm not sure what this pink sauce is but it is literally busy making me sick. Despite the picture on the menu having tomato, non of it came my way. Ha ah. Not ever again. ‍Food: 1/5
Needed to grab brunch in a rush so ordered this. Paid about R269 for the platter which comprises of different types of tandoori chicken, naan or chips, kebab and 3 sauces. The platter size was way bigger than I expected, it could feed about 3-4 people, so I was very impressed with the value for money. The restaurant is situated in a food court of Sandton City Mall, so be prepared for no waiters or busboys. The food was delicious considering it was prepared within 10 minutes. If you're craving South Asian fast food, I would recommend this spot for takeaways and quick dine-ins.
Undoubtedly the rudest store manager I've ever come across. Ordered a small item for my little one and attempted to pay with a R200 note. The manager walks across and tells the cashier that the store doesn't have any change and instructs the cashier to cancel the order. I query with the manager as to why he doesn't offer me any other methods to pay like a bank card which I have instead of canceling the order to which he informs me that he he doesn't need my business. Very very disappointing, clearly paying customers are not welcome at this establishmemt and so I will never visit this place again. Also, caution to all Muslim patrons as the store has a Halaal certificate however the manager wears a Klipdrift apron!
Great meal. Most juicy and tender chicken breast I have had in a long time!
Amazing food court find. They make all naan and pita on demand in their tandoori oven and the tikka masala & makhnie sauces are outstanding. Extremely great value as portions are large and prices are very good. Don’t pass this up.
Today new year's Day Sandton City was busy but they were the only place in the food court area that was quiet. I tried them out and actually felt nauseated after having a few bites of the mild quarter chicken and chips, chicken had some sort of pink sauce on it and made me want to vomit chips were terrible tasting which is weird because how can you ruin chips. No wonder they were quiet, won't be eating there again.
Decided to give Mr D another try. Wanted something spicy for lunch. Ordered the Turkish Lamb Roti medium. MR D service and delivery is very quick. My Roti was still warm. Not a very big sized Roti for the price, and the Lamb is just one long Kebab with some chopped Tomato and Onion and it needs salt. Not much texture to it either. Expected something different, but tasted ok. Will give something else on the menu a try some other time.
Sandton City branch, I have no words. I asked the cashier how long the order may take As I saw long Q she kept saying 10min, many angry people were waiting for >20min. Now when it was my turn to order, I asked her if she have a lamb kebab in nan, she said 'We are out of Lamb sandwiches today'? Then asked which Biryani they have, she said "ohhh we do have Lamb Biryani??" - Now, tried to pull her leg so I said "Don't you guys have PORK Biryani?, Her answer was "I am not sure, I can ask????" what!! So I told her "Why there should be NO PROK in this Halaal certified store? she said "I DON'T KNOW"? Well, I am really questioning if this place follow the Halaal regulation? Imagine a staff doesn't know what does Halaal mean in a so-certified Halaal food store
Absolutely unhappy with the food we ordered yesterday ,we ordered three tikka meals took it home and we got nothing that resembles a tikka it was chicken in a pink colouring and dry i didnot even consume it what a waste of my money and unappetising food .My husband did have a taste and he says the chicken was not even cooked inside and tasted awful ,please donot serve food to this unsatisfactory level
Not many places where you can have a dhall makni so perfect. Its a small kiosk with Lebanese food and very tasty. The prices are good to. Place your order and take a seat anywhere in the Food court.
