I bought a brand new 2023 Range Rover sport!!!!!! The car has been in range rovers workshop for about 3 months of 6 months, there is no service from their side!!! The car has broken down 7 times with my kids and I, which is all on record! For the price I’ve paid and the service I’ve got it’s absolutely shocking, on the 20th of June the car broke down again with my kids in on the way to school, I’ve now been told to wait until the 13th of July just for a new battery which they have done over and over again obviously there is a factory fault with the car and they will not replace it, which it should be after me going through this from the second I bought the car! Rather buy a Porsche, BMW, Merc than dealing with Landrover!!!!!! I’m
I'm conflicted here. I own two new Land Rover products being the new Evoque and the new Defender. Both a great vehicles but both require a software patch that has been ongoing for 18 months with nothing more than lip service being offered from the dealership. On both vehicles the in-cat wifi hotspot constantly causes the screen to blank. Switched off everything is fine but I paid for the hotspot and I'm entitled to have it and I want it. Land Rovers in-action is typical why they consistently fail in the reliability and service surveys. JLRSA pick up your game!!!
What a terribly awful experience it has been dealing with Jaguar Landrover!! Customer service, zero! A terrible client experience all round and not to mention that 2 months down the line, still no vehicle I will not even count that it has been in and out of there from August already and zero updates unless you pick up the phone and follow up yourself! Consultants like Ronel just don't care! I would seriously warn anyone to stay away from this brand, these people just do not care!
I purchased a range rover from pietermaritzburg, upon taking delivery I noticed several faults. I received a car that didn't even go for an auto valet. Today is 06 June 2022 almost 4 months and I still have faults , each time I want to book my vehicle in they say they don't have a loan vehicle for me. I had to come to terms with them not loaning me a vehicle so I gave them my vehicle, which they said I will have back within a day. At the end of business day I had not received a call , at 4:30 I called them , they said they are going to hire a vehicle for me to use , so they will keep the vehicle and give me a loan car the next day. They next morning I waited for a call that never came , I called them they said that land rover SA didnt approve a loan car, but I can come and pick my vehicle up , but the work is not complete. I still left my vehicle there , and until today which is 4 days later, no word on my vehicle or a loan vehicle.
In December 2019 I bought an F-Type 2.0 from JLR Waterford in Fourways. It was brand new 0 km but had already been registered. I specifically enquired about the service intervals and it was explained to me that it was either a maximum of 26,000km or once a year. I was also told the vehicle will indicate to me when it requires a service. My previous vehicle did the same - a message appeared on the dash to inform you that it had to be serviced. As it is now just under 1 year since I bought it, I phoned JLR Centurion Lazarus Motor Company to book its first service with just over 5,000km on the clock. I was informed that the vehicle is late for its service and that there would be a penalty fee of R2,500. Apparently it should have been serviced in June already. I was informed that the service plan was activated in June 2019 and that I should have had the car serviced before the end of June 2020. I contacted JLR South Africa Customer Service to try and resolve the matter. JLR South Africa informed me that it is in one of the many documents that I signed on the day of purchase. Because I signed the document they have no responsibility towards me as the customer and that I will have to pay the penalty fee. The fact that no Service Reminder appeared seems to be conveniently ignored. I am disappointed as I was never informed by either JLR Waterford or the vehicle itself that it should have been serviced in June 2020. Based on the verbal information provided to me when I bought it I was not aware of the June deadline. I am therefore wondering how I was supposed to have known this as I was working on the one year period from when I bought it with 0 kilometers on the clock. It is unfortunate when companies such as JLR SA forget about customer service during a time when the economy is weak. In stead of building a relationship with their customers they seem to prefer alienating them.
My vehicle has been in for repairs for 5 weeks today, 4 weeks to get a warranty claim authorized and a week to order parts. LR customer service center told me they would arrange a courtesy vehicle on 13th Jan but it will only be available towards the end of this week. However after no contact this week I phoned only to be told the person I was dealing with is on leave and no vehicle is available. LR customer service is a JOKE!!!
I honestly just love Land Rover… never been to the dealership but I know it’s shamelessly the best
