John Dorys Fish, Grill, Sushi. - Bluff Towers

Always enjoy going there. The only thing that isn't a good change is the half price Wednesday used to have a wide variety to choose from and now so limited. Wish it could go back to how it used to be. The tempura prawns also not done as well as before and not sure why the presentation is poor. The chicken fillets peri peri are soft, succulent and very tasty but the onion ring needs to be reinvented as also not properly battered. Sometimes the order gets taken down wrong and we land up with things we didn't order. Overall a friendly atmosphere.

The food is always so delicious! The cocktails are quite tasty. I'm always happy with the service, as waiters are friendly and efficient. Overall, this is one of my favourite places to visit on the Bluff.Food: 5/5

Been around for a long time standards and offerings and value for money is way way above good. Food is always fresh having eaten in a few JD s recently and never had a complaint about service Food or taste ! Pretty steady and consistent. Love the grilled optionFood: 4/5

Second time to the restaurant on the Bluff the last 2 months. Staff is great. Food is good. Very disappointed that they did not have a "regular brand" of beer on both occasions. Reason was that it was just finished this evening. We enjoy a meal at John Dory's and we go to the one on the Bluff because of the convenience. Unsure if I would return to the one on the Bluff. Yep; and it is because of the beer

Food was okay and I am extremely disappointed in the staff behaviour. One of the staff members slipped and fell in the kitchen which was visible to some customers yet not one staff employee asked her if she was okay. I witnessed the manager even laughing at the employee. She had to mop up in her wet uniform. When the employee fell down absolutely none of the employees assisted her in waking up even though there were glass pieces all around her. It is absolutely disgusting and sad to watch that , as I wanted to leave my own table and assist her but I was too shocked at the behaviour of the staff to her. Is this the kind of employee rights you’re violating? I am extremely displeased and motivated to take this further.

We have ordered a JD platter via uber eats R225 . The order was delivered now and presentation pathetic. The chops are brown like fried yesterday fish smashed and rice is stale. We have ordered many times before it was perfect. Spoke to Manager Eric at Branch he advise they cannot help we must complain to uber eats and they will refund us. However what to We do whilst we starving ,which was entirely the store fault and not Uber Eats. Reference E 9E 77

Mixed reviews. Had the Hake Thermador. Very nice and enjoyed. Also the prawn special, this was overcooked with shells stuck, chips old. DisappointedFood: 3/5

Bluff John Dorys side always taste horrible. We bought butternut and spinach tasted off. Way too off. Even look bad in the eye like old food

Not the best sushi I have had, waiter also did not look after us. Still a good place on the bluff to get some seafood.Food: 3/5
