Pleasantly surprised. Decided to try out a different gym in the area today and was very happy with what I found when entering this gym. Everything was extremely clean and the equipment was all neatly laid out with all machines fully functioning. Definitely worth getting a membership here or attending this gym if you are in the area. My only gripe is that the air-conditioning is sub par with multiple fans being used instead of proper ac units from what I could see.

I have been trying to cancel my contract since February. On the 23rd of February 2023 I called the Meadowdale club to cancel my contract and was told they will handle everything and I just have to pay R399 for the next 4 months. I never got a Ref number and now ironically there is no record of me calling on the 23rd and I was never sent an email or phoned by the cancellation department. I have already paid the money now which works out to R1596 and they are still debiting my account and telling me I need to pay the settlement of R1590 upfront or R399 for the next 4 months again. I have spoken to about 5 different people who are just throwing their hands in the air saying I don't know how to help and there is nothing I can do. So do not sign up with planet fitness because all they care about is money and not you like they claim to do.

If I could give minus stars I would. They sold me a black tag membership on special for 199 for 3 months and then 299 for the rest of the year and never added the special to the system. After numerous calls and emails aswell as going to the gym they refused to fix my membership. They gave my contact to landau attorneys where i had to pay an amount to cancel my contract. I paid and they sent me a statement. Then a month later I received a call from the attorneys saying that my contract had been handed over for a cancelation fee that i was unaware of and also tried to double the amount of a normal cancelation fee.  This franchise loves money and only care about money. The air-conditioning does not even work. The machines are terrible.  It's just THE WORST GYM! Do not waste your time and money. Just run.

We started at the Planet Fitness Just Gym a little over a month ago and I am happy to report that the gym is perfect for our needs. I highly recommend Planet Fitness Just Gym Meadowdale As a cost effective option to keeping heathy. The staff are friendly and helpful and the equipment clean and well maintained. Still going strong

I like it. Keeps me in shape. Busy after work so try to get early then you can have unlimited access to all the equipment. Free unlimited WiFi and 10% discount on all Puma branded sports goods from a Puma store is also part of the contract.

There isnt a therapist office in world that can compare! Everything is easily accessible, staff are all very kind and helpful, not to mention the changes to my mind and body thanks to the undoubted sense of comfort and welcome

You don't get as much machines as you would in a gym like that,if you r a newbie in this game " Good luck" cause you r on your own.. And  treadmills get used at planet fitness then dispatched to just gym.. Never New.. Always Used one's from mother gym.. And equipment sometimes is broken for more than a week..if you want to go heavy bring a buddy.. No help here..

i am new to the gym and not happy with the facilities some of the equipment is not up to standard and the air-conditioning is not fully functional. When i asked the staff member for how long has the aircon not been working he said it only recent but if you go and have a look at the reviews of other people its up to seven months and they keep on saying they are waiting for head office. Rather pay a bit more at another club and then you know you have equipment that is up to date and the facilities are all in working order

Good vibes and nice workouts... The only thing I truly hate is that the air-conditioner is always on 22 degrees and that's hot. Winter summer the same temperature.

Joined with Vitality benefit in May 2021 paid the initiation fee along with first month instalment. Manager at the time admitted to forgetting to add my benefit on the system, paid normal rates up to December 2021 despite requesting assistance to rectify their error on a near daily basis. "Lost" the paper where I filled out my benefit with my contract and I had to complete another in December 2021 in order for them to assist me. This restarted the contract apparently, nothing done to credit or refund the overcharge. Tried to cancel in May 2022 to be told I have a penalty to pay as my contract now runs until December... advised that they technically still owe me money. Being sent from pillar to post between the Call Centre and the branch. I would never recommend anyone to join with this franchise.
