Ikaia River lodge is a nice quiet relaxing resort on the banks off the Orange River where you can enjoy a one night break after a long hard road trip or a week holiday with some activities in the surrounding areas for the whole family. Thank you to the owners and staff of Ikaia, they are always very helpful and friendly. Even with problems that is not their business they will try and help you or they will put you in a direction where you will get help. Hats off to you Ikaia River lodge Rooms: Rooms is little bit cold in the winter but nothing that a nice warm aircon can sort out. Nice and spacious. Warm shower Food & drinks: Excellent cook and menu. A home cooked meal is always great after a long day at work and that is exactly what we got at the end of each day.
It's hard to believe that this is part of SA. The people in this part of the country are so well-mannered and friendly. The rooms are well equipped and kept. The grounds are neat and tidy. I highly recommend Ikaia River Lodge.Rooms: 4/5
Great service, food was good. And the river view is beautiful and relaxing. I love the sound of moving waterRooms: 4/5
We had an amazing time at Ikaia River Lodge Our friends, whose first time it was in the Northern Cape, cannot stop talking about the great time at Ikaia. The Team received us well and were very accommodative with all our requests from the initial booking. The units were neat as a pin and fitted with all the necessities of a self-catering unit. The views of the Orange River and Springbokkies were amazing. Special thanks to the team that worked on Saturday. You really went the extra mile by assisting with decorating the table and ensuring our food was ready in record time. The food was delicious. The pumpkin fritters was my absolute favourite. The on-duty team were so friendly and patient. We enjoyed every moment. Nkosi people.
Well what a stay ,pity I didn’t get in time to see the Orange River at its heights, the facility has an excellent swimming pool and the grounds are exceptionally well kept , we stayed in a self catering room and was sufficiently clean and comfortable with all of the equipment needed. The location is good for an early morning ride to Augrabies and probably the best of 2 spots in the vicinity .there are tons of wildlife on-site ,local shops are ok if you time it right so that you are not bombarded by locals . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the lodge to anyone ,thank you again
We went for breakfast at the establishment. Excellent service and we were spoilt with a breathtaking view of the Orange River. Will be back when in the neighbourhood.Service: 5/5
Fantastic chef. Great view. Rooms need and tidy. Need maintenance though.Rooms: 3/5
The venue is beautiful and has a number of self catering units a rooms, the rooms are neat and all the amenities worked, its very serene and its nice to see sprinbok roaming around, they have had a cute little springbok added to their family. The self catering untis are well equipped and are cleaned Monday through to Saturday, we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant on the premises but the menu offered a good selection, we did however enjoy a sundowner on the balcony overlooking the Orange rive which was very nice. As a guest you get a gate remote so you can come and go as you need to. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful. They also have a camping ground but no one camped there while we were there.
To many mosquitoes, but a nice place with great views
The self service room had no plates, no utensils no basin, had to ask for a braai to be brought over. Nothing except that you can order from the restaurant. This was not explained to a client booking a self-serving room for 3 nights in a row??? We were flooded when it rained .........Rooms: 1/5
