The following MERSETA aligned courses are offered:
1. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - 10 Working Days
2. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) - 10 Working Days
Stick on Plate and Stick on Pipe
3. CO2 Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG) - 5 Working Days
4. Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) - 5 Working Days
5. Stainless Steel (Argon Welders Only) - 5 Working Days
6. Stick (Plate) - 5 Working Days
On completion of the GTAW and SMAW courses, learners are given the option of welding to FABRICON code and having their test piece sent for non-destructive testing (NDT) whereupon an ASME IX certification would be issued by a unit of inspection with SABS Accreditation and International Status. Learners are also issued with free personal protective equipment (PPE) except for boots.
