This morning, 30 January 2020 at around 04:00 I got a distress call from a friend in Knysna, this person was on foot in town and been harrased by someone. After a long conversation I decided to take a chance and phone the Knysna SAPS, with no hope of even getting my called answered. To my suprise the person on the other side answered the phone and asked if she could be of assistance. I explained the situation and she said that she would dispatch a unit to the distressed persons whereabouts. I thanked her and put the phone down, with no hope of any action. To my surprise I got a phone call from my friend, 15 minutes later telling me that the police came to assist and even given a lift home. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this was possible. Waited a long time to be assisted. Members either not educated in covid regulations or trying to be spiteful. Only reason I'm giving three stars is because of the members that actually does police work that are superstars. I wish I could rate them seperate from the others.
