Title: A Disappointing Experience: Lack of Inclusion and Safety Concerns I enrolled my children at Laerskool Unika with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience over the past three years has been deeply disappointing. It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, hoping that it will shed light on some critical issues that need immediate attention. One of the major concerns I have is the school's failure to invest in creating an inclusive and diverse environment. While English-speaking students are accommodated, those who do not speak Afrikaans are left struggling, as the entire curriculum is delivered solely in Afrikaans. This exclusionary practice is not conducive to a nurturing educational experience for all students. Additionally, the school's lack of accommodation for other religions is disheartening. The constant emphasis on a Christian perspective, with every parent meeting commencing with a prayer to Jesus, alienates families from diverse religious backgrounds. In an increasingly multicultural society, it is essential for educational institutions to embrace and respect different faiths. Furthermore, I have grave concerns about the school's prioritization of its reputation over the safety and well-being of the children and teachers. There have been numerous incidents within the school that were not properly addressed or transparently communicated to parents. The principal has demonstrated a lack of accountability by withholding vital information from the school governing body, such as instances of racial discrimination and violence. Even more distressing is the school's tendency to downplay serious incidents involving violence. Instances where a child was threatened with a knife or subjected to rock-throwing were kept secret from parents, and the school administration gave the benefit of the doubt to the misbehaving child in order to protect its reputation. This approach not only undermines the trust between the school and parents but also fails to address the urgent need for a safe learning environment. Regrettably, my concerns were not effectively addressed. I believe that it is crucial for parents to be aware of the challenges within Laerskool Unika and make informed decisions about their children's education. It is my sincere hope that this review will serve as a catalyst for positive change within the school. Every child deserves an inclusive, safe, and nurturing educational environment, and it is essential that Laerskool Unika takes immediate action to address the issues raised.

My child doesn't go there but had tbe privilege of being there today for the U10 rugby and its a very well run, super clean and great school, the kids has great respect for the adults Well done Unika
