Its okay as a cheap accommodation but I think they can do better. I would recommend the place as it is nearer to the campus. I am rating on basis that I came for viewing as my organization offers bassaries to students in Soweto and we have a few whom are currently in Bloemfontein. Its clean and neat. Me saying you can do better doesn't mean its a bad place, I mean there is so much potential for more. Please take criticism positively nit as attack Mr Owner. We are looking forward to working with you I the near future.
I live here 2018 it's a good environment next to the park and 10 minutes from campus
I wouldn't even put a star to this rating because it doesn't deserve one. Mind you all of the ratings here were done by those students in their first week of living at that commune because they were promised Pizza *sigh* I'll tell nothing but the truth, the showers don't work the drain is always blocked and bed bugs are residents in the commune. If you complain, she increases your rent for the month to improve what she should have long done. Our laptops were stolen during our first few days, and guess what? She cared less. She increased the rent during the moth and claimed we owe her. Her door was faulty and it jammed, my housemates broke in to help since I was stuck but guess what? For that she opened a criminal case against me and arranged her manager to harass me. Was it because I'm black? Clearly this place is worse than hell, not forgetting the cracked floors and moulds growing on the walls. Out of all those who resided in the main house not even one is returning if that answers your questions. This was written by a girl illtreated by the one and only Inet Kemp, speaking on behalf of all those who are afraid to speak up. This is not a place your parents would want you to reside in.
Inet Kemp is passionate about running a great space for students. It's clean, neat and well run. Can highly recommend this spot for student accommodation. Close to campus and great facilities. Highly recommended.
Hi, My name is Lintle. I stayed with Lapeng Accommodation for the better part of my under-grad and came back again when doing my post-grad studies. Being in walking distance to the main campus and close to shops such as Spar, I found living there convenient and safe. I made some amazing friends during my time at the commune, as well having learnt how to develop a good and professional relationship with Inet, the landlord, who taught me great tips in rental agreements that will certainly come in handy in the future. Living at Lapeng has been a great part of the varsity and overall Bloem experience :-
Is it mixed gender commune?
I'll definitely recommend this to any student. The owner goes far and beyond what is required from a usual rental property.
Its Great and Suitable For Independence Development which I find Essential For Graduates-to-be
Its close to the campus, and very affordable for students.
Felt like home away from home.
