Lazy lion African Art Thatch House

I have stayed at the Lazy Lion twice and was very happy both times. The place is quite and private, but still felt save. The staff was friendly and helpful. Both rooms I stayed in were quite large and had a beautiful view of the garden. Some of the minor fittings were a bit shabby/worn with time, but the charm of the place and décor more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend it.

The price is very affordable, The place is hidden so it's the best escape from the busy city, I loved the dogs roaming around it was nice. Their alcohol is also cheap. I wish the water in the bathroom was a bit hotter because it's just warm. It's a cost environment. Communication is a problem but we're not there to communicate with the owner.

Checking in time, the room was big, clean and has mini bar fridge, welcome bottle water, perfect 4 kids nice and quiet has play area to keep my son busy. The garden is beautiful and well kept. The staff including management very friendly. Will definitely come back. Plus affordable

This has got to be the most exquisite and tranquil lodge I have ever been to!! Let me just say that, the pictures don't do it any justice! I'll have to call it somewhat of a "Hidden Gem".. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who were very attentive, professional and friendly! They were ready and waiting when I arrived and we went through all of the necessary Covid proceedures before checking in, which was a quick and smooth process. I was then shown to my room which was .....WOW!! It was really spacious and clean which is another BIG plus!! My room opened out to a pool and garden view which was exactly what I needed!! The scenery was beautiful, and it was a relief to be in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The atmosphere here is calm and comfortable, it really felt like home to me. I mean the place is great itself HOWEVER their staff and owner oh wow! Firstly this owner does not speak a word of English and my husband had to speak Mandarin the entire time we were there. They dont clean while you are staying there, you actually have to pay an additional fee for that. They don't even replace the towels Everything is broken, lamps, chairs And the cherry on top was as we were packing up to leave my husband told the owner we weren't leaving as yet as we were still clearing out the rooms of our valuables. Despite this, we returned to find him in our rooms removing the last things This guy doesn't know how to treat people who keep his business alive. Go, don't go- this guy just needs to learn some English and treat his customers better as they are paying for a service and an experience.

A quiet, tranquil lodge located in the city . It has a nice pool, braai area and kids playground. Affordable rates. The exterior and interior of the lodge is decorated in African style. Bathroom is clean and the water is nice and hot. All the facilities in the room are working perfectly . Only for the light in the room, I think it's a bit too dim. I guess for the one who wants to read in the room will be a bit tricky.

The place is amazing, secluded, beautiful. The rooms are huge and everyone is just absolutely friendly. I am definitely going back there again!Rooms: 4/5

The place not clean. Poor quality food, very fatty. The Chinese owners can't speak English, communication a problem. There is potential. Rooms uses poor quality paper, beds not well prepared, ventilation is challenge. Safety is a big issue, as there is only one entrance to the rooms, wooden floors, thatched

Very nice place to stay. Quite and peaceful. Rooms are good and clean. Amazing decor all over hand crafted engravings. Another nice plus is it os very central close to Lanseria and easy to get aroundRooms: 5/5
