I must give a five star rating to cosmos orthopedic ward.. Thank you so much for the excellent care. You guys are great. So grateful for the care received from all the staff. Even the cleaning staff. Lillian from the the kitchen could work in a restaurant food appearance and taste genuine the best. Don't know all the names but thank you everyone.
Went there to accompany my husband the covid19 girls refused me an entry mind my hubby had one hand he couldn't write or open the door . Well I went to sit in the car waiting for him to come back while waiting a family of six walked into the ER no one said anything to them Poor service and racist behavior
I finally gathered strength to write this after 3 years because I’m now less emotional and I think I can voice out my experience. The maternity nurses were so emotionless, it’s strictly business! At some point when I needed assistance one nurse told me I’m not the only patient they have. I had a C-section and was really having it bad. I was also in the same ward as their head of cleaners. A white lady , she also just had a baby. So the care she got compared to how I was treated was completely different. She also treated me very bad, I had to be moved to another ward because she refused to turn the air con down, the room was freezing! Mind you my baby was already with me in the ward She claimed that she misplaced the remote. I was later told as soon as her son was brought to the ward the remote was found!
Very effective and friendly service from admission to discharge. All staff well motivated, on point, and always with a smile and empathy. Well done, on making a hospital visit a pleasant experience.
Worse experience ever. At some point j felt like im at the public hospital. They actually kept me in the room for hours with no attendance and my baby is crying non stop. I regret, and i say i regret. "Munhu angafa aha yimele ku pfuniwa kuve ani pfuniwi mahala". I would never refer someone to this hospital. Worse i ever came across.
I loved this place at first I have alot of history here and normally have no issues with it but my granny got submitted here in December into icu after being in icu she got moved to general ward and it was horrible the nurses wouldn't speak to her in English or Afrikaans they said that they couldn't speak either of the languages all of them said this they could only speak Zulu and they gave her the wrong medication when she got transferred to a jhb hospital she was immediately rushed back into icu and they couldn't believe the condition cosmos left her in ,untreated and given the wrong medication, we would sue this hospital if we didnt sign the papers allowing them to do whatever they wanted, none of my family will come back here after such dreadful experience
I rushed my son to casualties last night with a fever of 39 and extremely sore tummy. They told us they were a bit busy and we would have to wait a bit. I was fine with this but after waiting patiently for 2hours with my sick child writhing in pain, I went to ask at desk how long more as people were just sitting and NOT being helped. The guy at desk said I would probably have a further 4 hour wait! So I would have to sit there til 3 in the morning just to see a doctor? This is ludicrous! Is there only one doctor working there? I understand if there are emergencies they take preference but at the time I was sitting there. 1 Ambulance arrived right before I left. And before this NOTHING was happening. The reason I pay medical aid is so I don't get stuck in waiting room for hours waiting helplessly for a doctor, if I didn't mind that I would have gone to a government hospital. If you are 6 hours backed up HIRE MORE DOCTORS!
Life cosmos trauma ward has the worst service ever.You wait 4-5 hours to see a doctor.They have one doctor running the entire section a total joke,one could die whilst in pain waiting.I was attended by doctor Youngson who did not even touch me to properly access my continuous vomiting and diarrhea.I was placed on a drip and given yet another script to buy more meds after my body not respond to the initial meds.He said I must drink meds for both scrips.If you have an emergency don't waste time going to this hospital to go EPH hospital where a patient is attended by a nurse then registration completed after you have been accessed.
My child was admitted to life hospital; the staff have been helpfull and friendly. Although we waited untill the next day for antibiotics and ointment for my child; and medicine was given too late at night when my child already slept. The only thing parents receive to eat is bread. And i did not receive bread every time others actually received bread. Maybe consider something else than bread. When i entered the hospital the bathroom was so dirty and it smelled horrible. Otherwise the lady who helped me taking out my bags and blankets when we left the hospital helped me alot and i really appreciated the help. Otherwise the hospital is not bad at all. Hopefully my next visit will have some improvement.
Pre-Admissions took forever. Everytime I need to see a Dr or get Wound treatment I have to admit again. All documentation all over again. All my info is on the system but they ask the same question s again
