Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. The teachers have taken the time to understand my 3 year old, engaging with him at his pace. The amount of patience they have had with his fussy eating, it's amazing. I thank God I found Little Darlings. Going to work knowing my son is safe, happy and learning well. The pictures and videos I receive of him and his progress. It makes my day all the time and puts my mind at ease. It’s wonderful seeing my son get excited about going to school. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very personalised way. Little Darlings is an amazing place! Incredibly clean, smelling fresh, literally whole day. I highly recommend sending your children to Little Darlings
My daughter has been at Little Darlings from the age of 3 months. My wife and I can honestly say it was the best thing we could have done for her. She has learned so many skills and gained her independence and confidence thanks to the amazing principal Sharon Coetzee. Her gross motor skills and fine motor skills developed so nicely that she does her tasks and artwork without fail. Sharon is a wonderful educator with years of experience that will get your child confident and ready for big school. Taking your child to Little Darlings is a must if you want to insure that they have a great foundation.
If you want your child to progress intellectually, then Little Darlings is the perfect crèche for you. My son could read perfectly at the early age of 5, before he started grade R because of Sharon’s teaching methods. Little Darlings is NOT a play school but an Early Learning Centre that focussed on stimulating the brain and getting my child school ready. He was independent at a very young age and extremely smart because Sharon stimulated his brain with the correct activities and lessons. Sharon provided a strong foundation for him and I can truly say that the standard of education that she provides is unmatched. My daughter is there now as well and I am very happy with the way that she is progressing. A play school will not get your child ready for school but an Early Learning Centre will.
Both my daughters have been to the creche my youngest still attends. It is safe, lovely, and it gave both my children the solid foundation they needed. Education is very important, and I have never been happier.
My daughter has been attending Little Darlings for about a year now, there have been times when I felt it important to communicate things to the teachers and principal, like concerns about a bump and bruise, or when she had a nappy rash and I bought a special cream for her. This was always met with understanding and reason. The teachers are clearly emotionally intelligent and treat my DD like she is family. Reading a post that accuses Little Darlings of malpractice and the reasons this is based on makes me think that this parent has a classic case of “helicopter mom” I have a few points of my own: 1. Nappy rashes are a normal part of a toddlers life. 2. Your child should be allowed to play outside with her shoes off. This contributes in a big way to her learning. 3. Bruises and scratches are completely normal if your child is behaving like a normal toddler. 4. Kids at day cares get sick, it’s actually good for them because it creates memory cells to fight off bugs as they get older. In closing I would like to thank Little Darlings for the contribution they have made to my daughters upbringing.
I feel the need to let other parents know, what’s going on at little darlings. My daughter was in the nursery from January 20 till Lockdown. The creche is quite pricy, for what they offer. The building itself is in a big need of renovations, and as i heard, R500 was collected from each parent to redo the floors. But was never done. Money was gone, nothing renovated. There is zero security policy. The outside door is a wooden door, there is no way to see for the teachers, on who is ringing bell since according to the principal putting a camera outside is “putting money down the drain” due to too much theft. she is aware of theft in the street but not worried about babies being kidnapped - i’m just gonna leave that there One of the teachers in the nursery is a wonderful human being, and the only reason why i kept returning my baby to little darlings, was her. We started getting closer and become friends. She has opened up to me about her time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND little darlings. The stuff is extremely underpaid. They accept way more children and babies than what the government allows. If you go see the creche she will tell you there are only four babies in the nursery, meanwhile there are up to 8, sometimes even more. Keep in mind, only two teachers in the nursery. And one of them must make bottles and get them food at the back. So ONE teacher alone with 8 babies. The employees are really being treated very poorly. Two of them are the principle’s daughter’s. They treated well of course In December, she has paid R1000 to my friend, that worked 100% the whole month. She said she can’t afford more because the parents didn’t pay. But, during work hours, her and her kids go to gym classes and living their best lives. They don’t pay their staff, but live a fabulous life right in front of them. In front of people that have to struggle to meet months end. If you approach the principal about something you’re not happy with, as in security reasons, or nappy rash or what not, she will get very angry and rude towards you. She replies very unreasonable and immature. With the whole corona situation, i literally had to send her youtube links for her to understand the virus. She had no clue. My friend kept asking about UIF, and they kept blocking her off saying they cant sign her form because they are at home and don’t have a printer, or they just don’t know how, until they acutally blocked her number. IMAGINE. You work for someone, and while we are all going thru the most, your boss doesn’t help you, she BLOCKS you. Also, as a new mom, you trust a school principal to have some knowledge about health of a baby. So sometimes i have asked her “do you know what this bump could be” or “she has a fiver any idea what’s wrong?” She’d always say “Don’t worry, it’s just teething”. My baby actually had a tonsils infection when she told me “don’t worry it’s just teething.” Really, if you have any feeling of humans should be treated equal, do NOT give your child to little darlings. Employees are being treated extremely bad!
My daughter has been with little darlings from a young age until she left for grade R, and from my personal perspective I must say, EXCELLENT!! I have never seen such dedicated personnel, dispite the challenges they are faced with on a day to day i can not once say that I wasn't pleased with the results. Keep up the Good work!!!
