I am a Montessori teacher offering a safe, homely and child friendly environment from home in Meadowridge.
Upsey Daisies is a play group running from home. I have spacious, well equipped room with a lovely secure garden. The outside has a jungle gym, swing, herb garden, play house and a sandpit.
This is a small playschool that can only accommodate 10 little ones between ages 18months and 3 1/2 years.
My goal is to make sure your child can feel free to express themselves by playing and learning while making new friends. I will provide a stimulating, happy and safe environment where children have the opportunity to learn while having fun. I would like your child to feel free to express themselves and to promote their emotional, social, intellectual and physical development through play.
Through a more informal and homely approach I want them to be happy and grow in self-confidence. I will encourage your child to bring out his/her full potential and develop skills in various areas (fine motor, gross motor, tactile, sensors and lots more).
I will provide your child with lots of love and attention, along with fun and playful daily activities to help them grow and learn in each individuals own time and way.
I have a practical life section, I have a reading corner, fantasy play area, a large selection of educational books and space for creative activities. I have a herb garden, sand pit for your toddler to get their gross motor skills working overtime and do creative art, play dough modelling, music etc for their fine motor skill development.
Every week we will have a little theme from farm animals to the sea to how things work. So every week they will be learning something different and will be able to bring a picture every week (with the help of their parents).
I will encourage individuality and creative expression but also try to instil a sense of responsibility, good manners and consideration for others.
Every Friday we will have a little ‘baking activity’ which will help develop their taste and tactile development.
