The fish and chips is actually really good here. The setting is nice and the staff are efficient. We also got the surf and turf, the steak was fine but the prawn where over cooked. Dishes cost about R180-250 Most the table where reserved so keep that in mind.
It’s not a big menu and the only thing they really do properly is the fish n chips. Staff could do with a little more smiles/personality/hospitality. You feel like you’re just a number with you walk in
Had my birthday lunch there and it was one of my most memorable experiences. The food was delicious and it is a great choice for group reservations. Live Bait has a beautiful view of the ocean, an amazing ambience and the staff have very good hospitality. Would definitely recommend it. :
Stunning restaurant in Kalk Bay superb and delicious prawn and avocado pear starter salad .... reasonably priced with an excellent atmosphere and great service right on the ocean with entertainment from a couple of seals will definitely keep going back
Nice, cozy atmosphere and fantastic cuisine make this a firm favourite. The location is hard to beat, with waves breaking onto the rocks right outside the windows.Food: 4/5
Myself and a group of people had lunch at Kalk Bay harbour. I had fresh hake & chips @ R95. The food was tasty and tge service good.Food: 4/5
We went here twice for dinner on our vacation. We enjoyed it SO much. Definitely going back whenever we’re down here and WILL recommend to anyone. Our service was awesome on both nights. After we were seating and ordered our food came out within minutes.
Very noisy and tables too close together. Service was friendly and quick but even though the food was okay my portion of calamari was really small and i left hungry. Overpriced for what we got.
Incredible sushi, awesome views and impeccable service. We had such a great time. Reasonably priced, flawless food. Thanks to Thabo for the perfect service. Will definitely be back again.
View was great and we were pleasantly surprised by the sushi. The fish was delicious and the rice was nice and fluffy and not some hard dense stuff. I unfortunately only ordered two pieces before the sushi chef closed for lunch - had I known how good it would be I would have definitely ordered more. The assorted platter was tasty as well!
